Kovalev won 2 fights is clearl the better. I just never want to see andre son of golota and corrupt paid out weeks ever again.

What rubbish. Ward was doing a number on Kovalev last night. He was fighting a beautiful fight and was going to stop him anyway. I'm annoyed there is any controversy as it just detracts from how good Ward was. He was taking away Kov's best weapons as the fight went on and breaking him down with body work and on the inside. It was one of the performances of the year, and probably the best of Ward's career.

There needs to be a major butthurt option in this poll.

Like Mayweather, Ward's ring IQ makes him smart enough to pick up where he left off and do better in the rematch after making adjustments. It was not a shocking end to me at least. There won't be a 3rd fight.

Before the fight:
" I must have missed the outrage when Kovalev's skipped the face off the other day, or is hipocracy ok? Imagine if it was Ward?
Ward will dominate and possibly stop Kovalev. Don't be shocked. Probably hear the count was too fast, stopped too early, etc. Get your whining done ahead of time.

Ward should fight Stevenson next, if it can be made.

I could go my whole life without seeing or hearing about Ward again. I'd definitely watch Kov again though. Just not against SOG. The dude stinks up fights like no other.

I'm still a big fan of Kovalev, and will still watch him any time I get the chance. I'll watch Ward too because I'm a boxing fan and I follow the sport whether I'm a fan of guys or not, but I'm a much bigger fan of Kovalev. He's more exciting to watch.

Hopefully they fight other people for the rest of their careers.

Dude, everything Ward does in controversial. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the win or that he isn't effective. He absolutely is. But to say what he executed is beautiful is crazy to me. He is a very ugly fighter which is why he will never do big numbers or have a lot a fans. Seems like he drives more people away from the sport than he does creating new fans .

I want to see it again, except not in mob run Las Vegas again, with its in-house refs and judges and tv shills - but in Russia - and I want to see Kovalev focusing all his punches strictly below the dirty little rat's belt, and I want a Russian ref who is like the 3 monkeys and doesn't see or hear or say anything but is just waiting to dive in and stop the fight, just like a Las Vegas referee!

If any of Kovalev's fans want to see a third fight, that would be the ultimate joke to me. They're like "THE FIRST FIGHT WAS TERRIBLE. THE SECOND FIGHT WAS TERRIBLE. THOSE WERE THE TWO WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. THE ONE THING THAT WOULD MAKE ME HAPPIER THAN ANYTHING IS A THIRD ONE." ... Because you liked the first two so much?

It doesn't take a lot of imagination to see Kovalev winning on points in the 1st fight -- and by DQ in the 2nd fight... If the referee had been properly warning Ward and got fed up with his low blows... Are we going to throw the rule book out or is it still in effect???? That's a real question BTW.

Was Bowe awarded the Golota fights by DQ???? ... Was Griffin awarded the 1st Roy Jones fight by DQ???? ... Did Henry Armstrong suffer DQ losses????

And just in case some people think that the rule book has been tossed to the winds -- Mike Tyson, Victor Ortiz, Archie Moore, Terry Norris, Jack Sharkey, and Marco Antonio Barrera are a few World Champions who lost fights by DQ... NOBODY should get a pass on fouling -- least of all the dirtiest boxers in the game.

There is no point in the third fight unless it is in the East Coast or better outside of the U.S.

When the first fight was announced I was one of those who said, "I won't believe that SOGgy is going to fight Krusher until he actually gets in the ring with him."

And then he did.

I cheered when Krusher caught SOGgy with the right hand and knocked him down in the first fight. I thought that Krusher would possibly finish him right there. But SOGgy got up and proceeded to methodically take the fight away from Krusher.

Live I had it 114-113 SOGgy, but I would have had no problem if the decision had gone the other way, especially since I was rooting for Krusher. Instead the judges agreed with me.

Then the whining and howling about it being a robbery began and never stopped. The crying about the first fight has been pitiful. Along the way accusations of SOGgy retiring rather than rematching Krusher because he feared him were like a giant chorus of cawing crows.

Then SOGgy accepted the rematch.

Krusher talked about how he was going to end SOGgy's career. His whining, crying followers claimed that Krusher would finish the job this time. Self coined "experts" claimed that Krusher had more upside than SOGgy so this time he would win clearly by KO or UD.

Then the fight happened.

The tough guy who vowed to end SOGgy was stopped. He was ground into wanting to quit. He turned his back to avoid the beatdown being administered.

Krusher was saved by the ref.

His howling, crying legion of bitches have been reduced to an army of yeahbuttheads. Krusher was beaten by the superior boxer, athlete, and brawler. The Russian Whiner got reduced to a doubled over lump in need of a babushka cleavage.

Sergey Kovalev was already a beaten fighter at the precise moment that Tony Weeks’ controversially stopped the bout, which makes me feel that Andre Ward was deprived an opportunity to score an emphatic stoppage.

There’s no commercial or sporting reason for Andre Ward to share the ring with Sergey Kovalev again.
