Team Kovalev set to appeal the result

Post by Ricky_ »

Kovalev's team/promoter are filing an appeal with the comission over the result.

Not holding my breath but Hopkins-Dawson 1 should be the precedent here: a tko as a result of an illegal blow. Seems clear from the evidence of the final shots. If they have any integrity it will be changed to a No Contest.

Not going to happen. Ward won, fight sucked, time to move on. That second one was a vicious low blow. Sergey was looking very negative before it.

I still doubt it would have honestly. Granted Weeks missed that last low blow, but low blows didn't bring Kovalev to that point. He was absorbing big body shots all night, most were clean, and that big right hand in round 8. Kovalev was looking for the ref to help, even on previous legal blows, which hurt his cause when he actually got hit low at the end. It was overlooked by Weeks probably because he cried wolf during previous clean body shots.

All 3 of them were hellacious dick shots. Scandalous refereeing.

Nothing's gonna come of this. Kovalev might as well just move on and either move up to Cruiserweight and try to establish himself there, or just pick up the pieces and keep trying to beat everyone else at Light Heavyweight.

I wish that was last night. Lol, I'm definitely buying that next week. Need something good for a $300+ bill. I'm so retarded that as my interest in boxing plummets to the point that I can't be bothered with streams I start buying the shit. Though the biggest factor is my love of Saturday day drinking!

I'm on the fence with the bellator card. Thought it was last night for some reason. Was out til after midnight with some family friends, so missed all and any fights. Glad I was out. Had I been home I probably would had caved and gotten the fight... especially had a noticed there was no mma on. I did catch some of the Singapore card earlier that day. The Holm ko was nice.

I love the gangster and wandy. Going to support bellator putting 3 title fights and their legends on one card. I'd love to say I'll never buy another boxing ppv, but I'm a sucker. Almost all of them suck. Not ok, suck.
