Hope B0xnati0n/BT get it. Surely not big enough for PPV here though.
They have

It's ppv not given the details yet but I would be shocked if allegedly subscribers have to pay more.

Yeah same. The day B0xnati0n try to charge PPV to their regular subscribers will be the day basically every regular subscriber cancels, so I can't see them being so shortsighted.

I have a feeling the Mayweather-McGregor fight, which is taking place 3 weeks before Golovkin-Canelo is going to adversely effect the PPV buys of the latter.

BT has the UFC, I hope they go hard after the Mayweather/McGregor fight...

I hope so too. Unfortunately though I think Sky (with their annoying ads commentary team) will go hard after it aswell. It's going to generate a lot of PPV buys and thus Sky will be all over it like Saville was over kids in a hospital setting.

Why the hell did they do a presser in UK?

Saunders is irrelevant. It's because it's going to be on allegedly PPV

Damn, that takes balls to charge money for a 5 am telecast of anything. I could understand if it was Joshua or hatton, but canelo/ggg? That's crazy. If that fight was on at 5am here it wouldn't crack 100k.

Exactly! I'm pretty sure they previously said subscribers wouldn't have to pay for PPV.

That's exactly what they said - PPV would be outwith box-nation.

I notice it said today PPV details to follow. It's for PPV on the sign now on box-nation twitter.

About a month ago Eddie Hearn was talking as if Canelo GGG was going to be on SKY Sports Box Office. He was revealing to Kugan all of the recent SKY PPV numbers. Eddie was confident Canelo Vs. GGG would do 250,000 PPV buys in the UK,

I tend to agree with Eddie. There are a massive number of genuine boxing fans in this country. GGG is very highly regarded (let's not forget he was applauded out of the ring post the Brook fight). Not saying it would do 250k as PPV, but a lot of people will want to watch it.

I won't be buying the PPV......

As I will be a few feet away watching it.

Could at least buy the ppv, Sky + it, see if you can spot yourself on telly when you get home, show off to the kids.

Fair point. 20 quid for the PPV is mere shrapnel compared to the cost of going.

I haven't been to a big fight in Vegas for a couple of years due to work/family stuff. My wife blindsided me last week by saying "I assume you and the boys are going to the Golovin fight!"

I do this at every sporting event I attend.

I used to wear bright colours to stick out. :brick:

That's why boxing is so huge there. May/pac wouldn't have done a million at 5am.
