On fiday night former ufc fighter Tim Hague was knocked out in a boxing match in Canada,he walked to the dressing room before falling into a coma and not waking up. Would just like to pay my respects to him as this has happened way too often the last two years or so. R.I.P Tim my thoughts are with your family and friends.

R.I.P Tim Hague
Re: R.I.P Tim Hague
RIP....sometimes this happens in fights that werent particularly one-sided or visibly brutal, but this one definitely should have been stopped earlier. Hague was getting hurt by everything and had been down 3 times in round one, even getting dropped by a jab; to let him be rocked several more times and go down twice in the second is pure incompetence. The back of his head also smashed into the canvas on the final knockdown...
Knowing his fate, it's eerie to see him walking back to the dressing room.

Yep agreed. Obviously easy to be wise in hindsight, but I actually would have been tempted to stop it before the second knockdown - Hague was trapped on the ropes and was barely defending himself (I know he had his gloves up, but he wasn't properly defending himself). Hague didn't land a single meaningful punch after that and went down another three times; poor refereeing to let him continue for so long and unfortunately it's had tragic consequences.crusader wrote:RIP....sometimes this happens in fights that werent particularly one-sided or visibly brutal, but this definitely should have been stopped earlier. RIP.

Yep, the first time I watched it I thought that it should've been stopped when he was getting pummeled in the corner right before the second knockdown. If not at that point, then very shortly after, like when he gets put on his ass by the jab (a pretty good sign that someone is badly overmatched, especially when it's the third KD of the round).
I've seen the fight getting more coverage here in Canada than Ward-Kov did. The guy who won is a former #1 draft pick in the Canadian Football League...
