People really want him to lose and he's boxing cash cow because people like some in the thread will pay "hoping" he loses.

I'll watch the press conference highlights on YouTube because McGregor will do something stupid.world ranked wrote:Every person complaing will be watching though
I won't be watching the farce ( which I refuse to call a fight) I didn't watch the Berto fight because I thought that was crap.

If you watching the press you will watch the fight even after the fight you will watch sooner or later stop acting.thechump wrote:Naandrew wrote:I'll watch the press conference highlights on YouTube because McGregor will do something stupid.world ranked wrote:Every person complaing will be watching though

Has there been any details on this fight. Is it going to be a 12 rounder? Will there be any kind of title on the line. I know that Heavyweight fought Patterson for the title in his first fight - but I cannot think of another example of a fighter making a debut in a 12 rounder.... even Lomechenko fought a 10 rounder to start.
Re: Mayweather giving fans what they want
They'll probably invent one.stujones wrote:Has there been any details on this fight. Is it going to be a 12 rounder? Will there be any kind of title on the line. The WBC Super-Dooper Mega-Platinum Ultimate Cross-Discipline Welterweight Championship Of The World, or something.

Floyd Back Tracks And Rematches Madiana.Mayweather Not A Great Puncher As Prescott Garcia And Canelo Are.Would Have Been Interesting. As Floyd Knew He Wasn't As Quick.

Yeah, Prescott, we were all scratching our heads over that omission from Floyds rostercharliebox324 wrote:Wether People Like It Or Not. I'm looking forward to the build up where we will be told that PBF is inactive, over the hill, struggles with southpaws, where of course the Irishman is in his prime and an absolute animal!
If the likes of Marquez and Paquino can't lay a glove on him, what hope has McGregor got?
Of course no one can blame either for cashing in especially as you can never dream of that sort of payday in MMA

Being specific If Floyd knocks him out I'll watch the finish only.world ranked wrote:If you watching the press you will watch the fight even after the fight you will watch sooner or later stop acting.thechump wrote:Naandrew wrote:

Otherwise I won't watch a second. As mentioned I haven't seen a second of the Berto fight.
Re: Mayweather giving fans what they want

Berto aint Conor. This fight isn't a 12 round either way. You will watch and you not fooling me.Naandrew wrote:Being specific If Floyd knocks him out I'll watch the finish only.world ranked wrote:If you watching the press you will watch the fight even after the fight you will watch sooner or later stop acting.thechump wrote:

I've been told the same thing for loads of fights that I've never ended up watching
McG can certainly be competitive in the pressers, but not in the ring.

Re: Mayweather giving fans what they want
Would've been more interesting had they signed for two fights, one in boxing and one in MMA
But people will pay for Floyd to win easily or perhaps for McGregor to get himself DQ'd by kicking etc.
Cross sport fights can be one sided or they can be weird. On the one hand you have shot boxers getting humbled by wrestlers (since forever), and MMA fighters (Ray Mercer, James Toney).
On the other: Anyone remember Rob Kaman, the amazing Muay Thai fighter, versus Jean Yves Therialt, kickboxing world champ and "the greatest full contact fighter in the world." Should've been the best fight ever etc but ended up in huge controversy:
In kickboxing rules. Kaman breaks the rules by using leg kicks. I Muay Thai authorities recognise it as Therialt quitting and the kickboxing authorities have it as a DQ?

Actually, Pete Rademacher's debut fight against Floyd Patterson was a fifteen rounder!stujones wrote:Has there been any details on this fight. Is it going to be a 12 rounder? What is it with these boxing Floyds, feasting on novices!?

The only reason this fight is on and that they're getting paid.crusader wrote: McG can certainly be competitive in the pressers, but not in the ring.

If Mayweather can knock out Ricky Hatton he'd not do bad against Amir.charliebox324 wrote:Wether People Like It Or Not. Khan would of gave mayweather trouble with his hand speed the first 3 or 4 rounds but once mayweather got his timing right khan would of been folded like a naan breadbanjo wrote:If Mayweather can knock out Ricky Hatton he'd not do bad against Amir.charliebox324 wrote:Wether People Like It Or Not.
