allegedly's NOTW column
yep it's that day of the week again when allegedly uses his column to have a pop at ricky hatton, this week he's on about collazo WBA title not being a genuine title because judah became the super champ..stating collazo never had to beat the "real" champ......
collazo beat rivera who won the "vacant" title, rivera is due to fight for the WBA 154lb title next....so he can't be no mug....
hell hath no fury like allegedly scorned
ps. boxrec gets a mention

Was it "I posted at the boxrec forum the other week. Check out my posts - I'm called boxingchat. Lirva at the weekends"pasty_spud wrote:ps. boxrec gets a mention
And does this upstanding advocate of "proper" titles go on to explain that on 20th May in Belfast he is promoting the WBU welterweight championship of the world, a fight that just happens to feature two fighters from his own stable ? If Collazo hasn't faced the real champ at 147lbs, who exactly has Magee or Takaloo faced ? The biggest name on either fighters record happens to be Ricky Hatton, who of course is the target of the critical article in the first place. Are these NOTW columns written after 2 bottles of wine ?!

Exactly what I was thinking - no way can the NOTW pay him for what is just a PR propanga for SN....KO Artist wrote:How much does Frankly Warren pay the NOTW for his adverts in the paper?
Surely he MUST pay them?
I have always wondered what the average sports fan thinks of the column, rather than a real boxing fan.
Warren is right though, Collazo's title is just a WBA regular title. Rivera won it against Trabant when Judah became superchamp. Collazo was made normal champ when Judah lost to Baldomir. Had there not been a "regular the WBA belt would have been vacant. In reality its not more worth than Sturm's, Hill's WBA belt and in the past John's and Masoe's belts.

Right, but it is still more legitimate (just) than all the WBU titles FW used to promote.Freiheit wrote:Warren is right though, Collazo's title is just a WBA regular title. I read an interview with Warren recently where he said he gets paid a substantial sum of money by the NOTW for writing that column. Madness!

Doubt it somehow, more like some sort of contra deal - the Sun gets a % discount for it's SN related ads, and Frank gets to write his weekly love letters in the news of the screws.nickd wrote:
