There is nothing either good or bad, just thinking makes it so.

According to Hearn, for Klitschko it's not about the money, and reading between the lines, not even about a burning desire to regain the title. It's more about being a part of (a big occasion, a spectacular) something a bit different to what he's done before, so he might not be interested in the rematch in Cardiff or London, but they are looking at Nigeria as a possible venue or maybe Dubai. Eddie said that recently Las Vegas had come on strong as a likely option.

I agree though it does seem to be dragging on. What concerns me is that Pulev seems to be next in line after, or instead of Vlad, but where does that leave Ortiz as AJ's WBA mandatory? He took step aside money to enable Joshua v Klitschko to fight for the vacant title and now he wants his due. Hell, I want to see Ortiz fight for the title preferably before he has to go into a f...ing nursing home.

Joshua can't fight both mandatories in the time allowed, they both demand to be next after Wlad, so it looks like Joshua will be stripped of his WBA strap. If I were Eddie I think I would approach the WBA on Joshua's behalf offering to vacate the WBA title now, provided the WBA can give him certain assurances (I'd leave the details to Eddie) with regard to Joshua fighting Ortiz or his conqueror in a unification (or even as challenger were to AJ to come unstuck against Klitschko or Pulev) when it suits AJ.

I think that would suit the WBA. Because of the huge purses (read sanctioning fees) no sanctioning body wants to strip Joshua and lose out on all that lovely moolah, but there are limits - they don't want to look like fools. Joshua vacating (with strings attached) means the WBA can keep things moving along nicely instead of having to choose in a few months whether to make the painful choice to strip Joshua or to stand there holding their dicks.
