Mikey Garcia. Perfect balance of skill, speed, power, defense... Beautiful fighter to watch.
Re: My favourite boxer right now is
Klitschko, GGG, Beterbiev, Lomachenko.
I do like AJ and Joseph Parker as well. Just because they're humble.

Re: My favourite boxer right now is
Wlad is my favorite, although he is retiring soon. After that in no order:
Lomachenko
G3
Spence
Crawford
Pacman and Abraham used to be on my top 5 guys to watch/root for, but both need to retire, IMO. They've both accomplished a lot and really have nothing left to prove. Kovalev used to be in my guys to root for as well, but his fans honestly made me root against him now.

Re: My favourite boxer right now is
If fans that quickly make you root against someone (rather than becoming neutral), how much of a supporter of that guy were you in the first place?
Re: My favourite boxer right now is
Was a big Kovalev fan and rooted for him early in his career. Between the people on here and the way he handled himself after the Ward fights, I've lost interest in him now. I won't say I now "Root" against him, I just don't care if/when he fights again.crusader wrote:If fans make you root against someone, how much of a fan were you of that guy in the first place?
Wlad had a lot of terrible fans on here as well, but I've zoned them out, for the most part.

Re: My favourite boxer right now is
Lomachenko... Joshua... Golovkin... Beterbiev... Ortiz... Russell... Spence... Thurman... Usyk... Briedis... Mikey... Walters... Eubank... Callum... Povetkin... Brook... Bivol... Kavaliauskas... Smith... Gvozdyk... Kovalev... Easter... Jack... Crawford... and there's a bunch more I like.
It's a great time to be a fan of Boxing right now -- because the talent is so great and coming from so many corners of the world... The sport is growing with leaps and bounds... The funny thing is - all my life I heard that Boxing is dying or already dead.. In the '70's Howard Cosell said, "From a practical point of view Boxing is dead - and has been for a long time." The interviewer asked him "Do you regret it's demise?" ... Cosell said "No, because Boxing has itself to blame for being swept out to sea." Marciano and Ali both predicted that Boxing would be history within a few years after they quit. Dempsey said "The way Boxing is going they should just get rid of it." Tunney said that Boxing had problems "like anything else" but would prevail because it sparks something in the human spirit. "I always wondered why I loved to box so much. I think it's because Boxing is the most basic of all sports. As long as there's air to breathe people will erect a ring and athletes will box. So I can't agree with anyone who says Boxing will ever die."
I have many favorites from the past and just from his attitude and work ethic I always liked Tunney the best of the old timers... I admire fighters who make a success of Boxing, focus on the science and sport more than the entertainment or business aspects, and make Boxing work for their lives and their future.

Joseph Parker, he's just such a nice guy, meets his mandatory straight away, accepts it when he pulls out anyway and meets again, on the mandatory his homeground in fact. You can't find a nicer boxer as him. And he doesn't duck, or loves islam and everything around it.

Two I would like to add in the future are Demetrius Andrade and Deonte Wilder, but until they get a fight where they can show what they truly have, they are kind of insignificant.

Demetrius Andrade is an obvious talent. But, he would annoy me severely as a champion I feel.Badhusker wrote:Badhusker wrote:For me, it is Spence, Crawford, GGG.

Don't worry, he doesn't fight on TV. Kudos to badhusker for stopping that nonsense that he's avoided.Impractical Poster wrote:Demetrius Andrade is an obvious talent. But, he would annoy me severely as a champion I feel.Badhusker wrote:Badhusker wrote:For me, it is Spence, Crawford, GGG.

I seem to be slowly fading from the sport. Ever so slowly, but I believe it is happening.
