Starling 30 years old coming off the best win of his career has cleaned up everyone at welterweight and is hungry for a big payday

Mike Mccallum WBA champ at 160 also hungry for a payday since the fab four + Nunn wont fight him....agrees to the fight to be shown on HBO with a 157lbs catchweight.

Who wins in this fight between master boxers..........bear in mind the reality when marlon did fight nunn, apart from 2 idiot judges most people had it 2 rounds to nunn so close....but not controversial.

Starling was a very tough guy but McCallum too much big and strong for him.For me Mike would takes it by decision or latest stoppage.

Both were great fighters, but in my opinion "The Bodysnatcher" will make "The Magic Man" disappear by cutting off the ring and wearing him down with body punches before putting him away in the late rounds.

At 160, McCallum is too strong for Starling. If he was a welterweight, McCallum would lose a close one. Marlon never proved himself over 147. Ironically, Starling lost to McCallum in the 1977 National AAU tournament semifinals.

Starling would be an easy win for a prime McCallum -- nothing like Toney-McCallum 1, which was an unbelievable war between 2 iron-chinned, prime ATG's.. Each man put his ass on the line to win the fight at all costs.. McCallum was 35 but still good.. The Body Snatcher viewed it as his last and only opportunity to take down a great fighter. He never could get fights with Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, or Duran, which he knew he deserved.. But the Toney fight gave him hope at age 35.. It was a great fight.. When the draw was announced it was one of the most piercing disappointments of McCallum’s life.

You're right. McCallum vs Toney I fight was one of the greatest technical fights ever. They showed a lot of class in that fight.

And desire... They went for it... They both took brutal leather from savage attempts to get a telling blow in.. One of my favorite fights ever.

Jack Johnson always described his fights with Hank Griffin to be the toughest of his career by far...and said the greatest punishment he ever received in a ring came at the hands of Griffin.. I always thought it would be interesting to watch those fights to see what he was talking about.
