Povetkin Reinstated on WBA & WBO Rankings

Post by nmhz »

I couldnt see a thread on this. Found on World Boxing News. Thoughts?
Promoter Andriy Ryabinsky has revealed the WBA and WBO have reinstated Povetkin to the rankings after all the major bodies removed the Russian for a failed test in the WBC Clean Boxing Program.

The WBC and IBF are yet to reveal if they would follow suit, although Ryabinsky now wants the matter put to bed ahead of Povetkin's return against Andrey Rudenko on July 1 in Moscow.

Povetkin fighting Rudenko on B-Nation this Saturday, ive got weddings Saturday and Sunday so I'm gonna miss all 3 cards this weekend, I reckon i'll be able to avoid all results bar Pacquiao

I thought Rudenko was quite unlucky with scoring over here for the Browne and Fury fights, I thought he edged Browne but lost narrowly to Hughie, ive not heard much about him since but they remain his only 2 losses, ive lost interest in Povetkin with his drug cheating capers and ive lost interest in the appeals and now he's being reinstated

He's a great fighter Povetkin but you wonder how much "help" he's had throughout his career, I still think he'll KO Rudenko at some point, maybe late on?

He didn't fail any tests, wada/vada their tests fail lol. Still funny to see Wilder his fans being scared for reality already.

Surely they'll have Buglioni-Summers on a big screen at the wedding.

Im not sure mate, this is only the 2nd and 3rd weddings ive ever been to, 1st one was her folks a couple of years back, i'd rather watch it in the house anyway TBH, i'd be surprised if there was anyone at the wedding who'd heard of Buglioni or Summers

No matter what you try to spin
Povetkin failed 2 drug tests. You can not change those facts.
And if you go back prior to the failed drug tests i was the biggest Povetkin supporter on the forum.
I lost so much respect for him on his second failed test and no matter how much you justify it. He was wrong.

Explain to me how he failed both tests? In the first test, he had Meldonium, like he said from start to end, and believe me, a cup of coffee has a lot more positive influence as Meldonium, especially 0.000000000070 gram of meldonium.
The second test was simply a 100% failed test lol, which again stands exactly by what Povetkin said, even more evidence Povetkin doesn't lie. And please realise that he said it straight away, not right after the evidence confirms his story.
It's once again Wada/Vada who failed in this story and it's easy to see why Wilder wants Wada/Vada to be involved so badly, simply because they can avoid boxingmatches for him and can get the best guys banned.

You are more pathetic than Povetkin and his team.

He's probably just a shill for Al Haymon. Most WIlder "fans" are.

It's comical that anyone could think Povetkin is on PEDs. He's about the only clean athlete in the HW top 20.

Yeah, one look at his body shape and you think, why isn't he on PED's?
I would put money on Parker being clean as well.

I hope Povetkin can fight against Dillian Whyte, or Joseph Parker on the undercard of AJ vs Klitschko in Las Vegas.
