Who (is) was the best champion & most skilled and completed fighter of those 5 giants
I know Joshua and Fury have still a lot to prove but i've added them into list for some reason
Re: Who (is) was the best champion & most skilled and completed fighter of those 5 giants
Anthony Joshua is physicly the best heavyweight ever. Taller than lewis, more athletic than vitaly, equal or arguably more punching power than wladimir. In terms of skills technique it is lewis. But overall physic & technique Aj #1
Re: Who (is) was the best champion & most skilled and completed fighter of those 5 giants
Fury doesn't belong anywhere near this list of legitimate boxers. He shouldn't even be able to read it much less be on it. Pathetic.

his physique is all wrong for a world class heavy and his technique is decent at bestJip wrote:Anthony Joshua is physicly the best heavyweight ever. Might very well be Fury. Guy schooled the undefeated, p4p rated Klitschko who goes on to give Joshua hell. Hell, before the fight, some had Klitschko rated as the #1 p4p above Gonzalez.
Too bad Fury might be done at the top level because I think he beats everyone currently. Povetkin would be the most interesting matchup, though.

Vitali Klitschko, who earned it the hard way. He did nothing wrong in his career with just 2 losses both due to injury.
Never hit the canvas and never avoided anybody.
Made winning look easy and retired Lewis. That plus a great KO record seals the deal.
Joshua and Fury are still works in progress with a possible showdown looming.

Lewis by a country mile.
Re: Who (is) was the best champion & most skilled and completed fighter of those 5 giants
Toughest Fighter - Vitali Klitschko
Best Resume / Career - Lennox Lewis
Most dominant reign - Wladimir Klitschko
Fury is wasting his career and AJ has a lot of potential, but is an accident waiting to happen.

I'm not sure how anyone could answer anything other than Lennox.
Wlad maybe had a better reign, but didn't race the same quality. Vitali's reign was little better than Wilder's, and he couldn't even beat and old and fat Lennox.
Fury and Joshua just aren't close to proven enough.

I'm not a fury hater, but his skills don't deserve to be ranked above Lennox lewis

I don't want to turn this into a lewis vs Vitali thread, he was unlucky to lose to Lewis, but he did. And really the rest of his career isn't much to hang your hat on, so he's really not a pick for me here.Thomastearns wrote:Vitali Klitschko, who earned it the hard way. I;m a big Wlad fan, but he is second IMO,with Lewis first.

Getting your face smashed to pieces isn't "injury". His resume is also atrocious. In fact everyone else on that list has a better win.Thomastearns wrote:Vitali Klitschko, who earned it the hard way. He did nothing wrong in his career with just 2 losses both due to injury.

I don't think it was Vitali's fault. Nobody, including Lewis wanted to fight him and the division was dire at that point in terms of talent.BitPlayer wrote:Getting your face smashed to pieces isn't "injury". Lewis certainly had the best resume and wins, but you really can't compare against all three - two brothers and different generations (for prime). Sure, Lewis beat Vitali but he didn't want the rematch and he was 37.
Vitali toughest, would've given anyone problems, Wlad was dominant but Lewis had the better wins. He also had better punch variety but was more vuronerable than Vitali.
Re: Who (is) was the best champion & most skilled and completed fighter of those 5 giants
As of this moment the answer is Lennox Lewis without question.
Re: Who (is) was the best champion & most skilled and completed fighter of those 5 giants
Lewis being old, fat and unmotivated when he smashed Vitali's face in doesn't do Vitali any favours.Loki wrote:I don't think it was Vitali's fault. Oliver McCall was tougher than Joe Louis, be he wasn't half the fighter.

Lewis by a mile, wlad is second, Josh 3rd, tough call at 4th, I'll go fury with vitali bringing up the rear.

Vitali for me, Lennox would lose against all of them 75+% of the time.
