Didn't Arum get some kind of a deal with ESPN for his promotions?

Not a whole lot of people are too interested in this fight. I would not be purchasing this had it been on PPV for sure.

This actually could be a very exciting fight
Re: Pacquiao - Horn ESPN?
There just wasn't much interest, and rather than having it tank on PPV they took whatever ESPN gave them. I imagine they're making a solid on-site fee in Australia and it might do ok business there.

Even though I think Jeff Horn is gonna get smashed, you can never take it for granted that a 38 year old fighter with as many miles on the clock as Manny is just gonna keep on dominating people. Many a guy has been "Upset" out of the blue at this stage of their career. I'd be surprised if that happens here, but you can never rule it out.Cutman Scabbers wrote:This actually could be a very exciting fight

Horn doesn't have to win to make it exciting either.
Re: Pacquiao - Horn ESPN?
We are now witnessing what happens to a top boxing attraction when he loses his star power and mass appeal. In the other pro sports, all time greats get ushered out with bobble head nights and retired number ceremonies. In Boxing, you have a greasy promoter send you to east bum fuuk to fight a guy no one's heard of in the hopes that this no name hopeful boxer pulls off an upset and becomes marketable. The way Arum is going to use and abuse Manny at the end of a great career is disgusting. I guarantee that if Manny wins, his next fight will be against Crawford and it's going to be a horrible defeat for Manny.
