It's warming up nicely.

Reminds me of the Boxcino tournaments that used to be on ESPN but with World/European level guys instead of domestic level.

The Cruiserweight tournament looks very good so far.

As for the SMW, I'd expect Ramirez, Zeuge and as a wild card and last chance saloon, how about Chavez Jnr? Looked terrible against Canelo though. Maybe Benavidez and Chudinov might end up in it.

Looking thin in the SMW division at the moment, we might get a surprise though yet, still 5 guys left to announce.

Chavez Jnr wont fight in this, I doubt he is arsed. Chavez Jnr will probably just hold out for a fight that pays well, IE Cotto would make a hell of a lot of sense for him and Cotto.

Great news about Usyk joining. Its not all 4 champs though because Dorticos is only a regular champ and Lebedev hasn't applied. Still a very very strong field. It seems the one man is yet unknown. I'd like to see Makabu in it, or if not then Glowacki.

Draw on June 8.

To me it is for the undisputed title.

Lebedev is a paper champion he lost to Gassiev who should be unified champ.

I'd still like him to join this as that was a close fight but ultimately he sh@t it.

2 spots left I really hope one is Kudryashov who has expressed interest

Personally I thought Lebedev beat Gassiev closely. Not having him thought dont diminish the championship at all in my eyes. He is a fighter on his way out.

I think Kudryashov will definitely be participating. Although for me he is the weakest of the bunch and will loose his first fight against anybody.

Did you see Wlod's last two fights? I think Kud would stop him at this stage.

I havnt but unless he is dead he should have enough to box Kuds ears off. Anyway its all academic because they wont clash, both will be unranked.

He's not boxing anyone''s ears off in the tournament. He was very ragged against unspectacular opposition and basically mauled and grabbed his way to close decisions. His defense looked poor too.

If I were seeded and looking for a soft touch, he'd be my first pick. He doesn't bring the same KO threat as Kud but his name looks better on one's resume.

He was always ugly spoiler type boxer. They should have invited Glowacki instead of him.

I have just checked and Wlod beat Gevor. Very good fighter, an unbeaten German prospect. Thats hardly a bad win even if it was ugly. I would pick Gevor over Kud any day of the week.

I'm not impressed with Gevor at all and John Lewis Dickinson beatdown victim Stephen Simmons had a strong argument for beating him; if you think he's 'very' good you have low standards.

Before that Wlod only edged past Leon Harth, and in both fights his performances were poor. He looked every bit as slow on his feet and limited as Kud, but without the power.

Wlodadcyzk deserves his chance in this tournament.Hes picked up some good wins lately and was champion for a long time.We talk about guys getting favours with sanctioning bodies but this guy was champion for a long time and got beaten once then nothing...totally out of the picture at world level.

I hope he wins it he seems like a determined fornicator doing it the hard way

Think I had is 114-113 to Gassiev with the knockdown being the difference.

Kudrysahov is crap technically but with that left hook he is a threat to anyone. I honestly could not see a fight between him and Gassiev going more than a round.

I have zero problems with Wlod being in the tournament, and he spent nearly a decade around the top of the division. At this point though, I do think he's the weakest link, and with his risk to name ratio I'd be looking to pick him if I were one of the seeded boxers.

Hopefully Usyk or Breidis follows your advice so we get a new fight. It will also be interesting to see who they use as alternates for the undercards.

Hopefully Lebedev ends up in there somewhere but then again the guy is in his late 30's and had a lot of tough fights. Couldn't completely blame him if he chose not to participate.

Having that strap, as bogus as it is, gives him a good chance at the winner. Though the orgs may be swarming with their mandatories after letting them go for a year. The participants and alternates leave him with no real higher profile opponents for the foreseeable future. I'm surprised he's not dying for this kind of money grab at this late stage of his career.
