Would without a doubt be the mother , but at his age he should be making his own mind up by now ,,, What did raise my eyebrows was Nigel , saying in one breath i love him he's my son ,, but in the other saying if he's not happy, don't use the Benn name ,use another name , saying he's worked hard to get that name to its current standing .. Makes me wonder if Harley grew up knowing his dad was the famous Nigel Benn , and never seeing him , or if he was with his famous dad most weekends , while living with mom , certainly seems to be a bit of the fook you attitude , which is not what you would get from a kid who felt loved , more from a kid who's felt pushed to the back , like i said ITS SAD .wesshaw1985 wrote:Yea, seems like somebody is pissing in young Harleys ears unfortunately. Nigel Benn has always come across as a good fella everytime i've seen him interviewed...coneye wrote:Sad really ,,

Re: Conor Benn
Looks in good shape and seems to be taking the game seriously with training. I wonder if Harley will turn out like that body wise? Also I thought Conor said on talksport this morning that his opponent had pulled out at the last minute so is Little, who has lost the last 15 fights a late replacement? I just thought Conor said Little had pulled out, I must have heard it wrong.wesshaw1985 wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91LGQeXgbtE
Re: Conor Benn
I think he has pulled out as it's not on sky bet anymore
Shame as even though he has an amount of losses he's been very active recently and rarely stopped, would of been a good measure of Benns intent

Re: Conor Benn
Benns opponent who took it at late notice medical has expired he was 4-0. Guess it's gonna b a very late replacement who will weigh in on the day.

Re: Conor Benn
Benn's new opponent for tonight Mike Cole
http://boxrec.com/boxer/759571
Unbeaten but doesnt seek to have any power punch as he hasnt stopped any of his wins. Anyone know if Cole is any good? has he a chance tonight coming in at very short notice?

Re: Conor Benn
I'd say looking at his record he's had a better level of opponent than Benn but it looks like he's moving up a weight classmimmy123 wrote:Benn's new opponent for tonight Mike Cole

The guy took the fight at a days notice after working with his dad.
Conors been in the gym for 7 months perfecting the trade.
Not sure what else to say......

Connor can punch and fight no doubt about it but boxing ability he's limited and once he's steps up he will get found out

Yeah, a bit crafty that. They were clever doing that. Picking a guy with an unbeaten record. But there's the catch. One days notice!!!

Benn is impressive as an offensive fighter, has a decent arsenal and seems to be improving, but he is too easy to hit. I doubt he'll be going near a puncher for a good while.

Re: Conor Benn
Hes very raw and a relative novice with little or no amateur background. But being a legends son cant be easy. And hes learning his trade live on tv in front of millions. The kid looks really game and is exciting to watch. Good on him. Cant see why people are being so negative about the lad
Re: Conor Benn
If someone is 'very raw' it's perfectly reasonable to offer critiques which reflect that, especially when the boxer can be readily evaluated due to their repeated appearances on a major network. Doing that doesn't make people big meanies....
The possibility that they improve significantly down the line should not preclude commenting on what they've actually shown so far.

It's a disgrace from Hearn saying these people need to "take their chance".Eddy wrote:arbroadway wrote:The guy took the fight at a days notice after working with his dad.

Maybe if he gave them a better chance they'd prove to be more of a use than those who he already has.

"Just because someone has "potential" doesn't mean we can't critique them
Now as they are. It's ok to call someone's technique poor if their technique is poor."
This is a fun game
