Only took no more than the very next post to show you the way. Must've missed every single Povetkin related thread for the last year.

It's really hard to find since the WBC still see Povetkin as a massive treath for Deontay Wilder, it seems like Wilder meanwhile waits as long as possible before meeting Stiverne so if Povetkin is the mandatory again, Wilder can wait for another 1,5 years at least.

Hate him?
Nah, I feel sorry for him.
He got screwed right royally.
Now he has been cleared, he deserves an immediate match with Wilder. That is only fair.
Will that happen?
Not likely.
They will end up with Stiverne
And Wilder keeps his precious belt nice and safe.

Sad thing is even if Povetkin becomes the mandatory challenger for WBC belt again , Wilder would get away with an injury, unification fight or voluntary challenges. By then Povetkin would be 41 y/o.

I expect Wilder to chat with the WBC so he can make the Stiverne fight as late as possible and still say, look, I fought my mandatory, so I don't have to fight my mandatory any more for 1,5 years! And bullshit like that.
After that he just walks to the WBC and asks to put an unranked boxer back in whenever Wilder wants.
Arreola wasn't even ranked at all in the top 60, but as soon as Wilder asked, he was suddenly in the top 15 rankings again.
Also note that not beïng ranked by the WBC was Wilder his excuse to avoid Shannon Briggs. Briggs even offered to fight completely for free at some point.

Sometimes I'm quite annoyed you can't scroll back in time to see what the rankings were last year, or before that for example.

Wilder was robbed of his chance to fight Povetkin and the largest purse of his career by circumstances out of his control.

There is no evidence of a conspiracy other than a few posters trying to rehash the topic every few days.

The WBC did not clear Povetkin. He is still not able to be ranked by that organization. The uninvolved WBA allowed him to fight in July. They also allowed Tarver to be ranked after three PED violations so that doesn't mean much. The WBO also sanctioned the fight but it is an organization which does not require testing but promoters can agree to it, if necessary.

Money can buy rankings, and the orgs generally tend to backstab each other.

Nope he wasn't, Wilder was allowed to fight, because Povetkin wasn't guilty at any point, he just had to have some additional tests to prove his story was correct and it was very very very most likely correct, since he took it in the end of 2015 for the latest time, not expecting it to ever get banned and only had 0.000000000070 of a gram of it left in his body in 2016. The excuse for Wilder to avoid the fight. But please note, that Duhaupas for example simply fought Povetkin since Povetkin wasn't banned from the sport, since no evidence existed against him.
Also note that Wilder blew the fight completely off as soon as he could and didn't even try to get the fight later on anyway, unlike Povetkin and his team, who immedietly said, no, Wilder and his team just managed to delay the fight again, just like all the other times whenever Wilder is trying.
Also note that if Povetkin was planning to cheat, he could easely have fought Wilder in 2015 with as much Meldonium as he wanted, since it was simply allowed back then, somehow Wilder ducked him all the time in 2015.

Long story short, Wilder knew he had an excuse to avoid the fight and that's the only reason he accepted the fight, because he knew the fight would never happen. Also note that Wilder desperately wanted Vada to be involved, which was very odd, but Povetkin had nothing against this odd request, he had nothing to hide anyway.

I fear we've overestimated candyslims reading comprehension. If he even reads much, assbrainfcjk & kalan are his main sources.

Sorry guys I neglected to return to this thread after posting yesterday and I didn't realize many hadn't heard. Thanks Asdfjkl for posting the link for me. Catching up with this thread I see a few posts which ring very true to me. This one by Lackeos I think nails it:
Lackeos wrote:Povetkin is the thorn in Wilder's side, so if they like Wilder, they hate Povetkin. Kind of like how Ward is Kovalev's boogeyman, so if they like Kovalev, they hate Ward. Kind of like how Pacquiao was Mayweather's boogeyman up until they fought, so if they like Mayweather, they hate Pacquiao.

A lot of boxing fans are fanatics for specific fighters, and they hate whoever poses a threat to that fighter's record, reputation, status, etc.. Although Wilder is slowly losing his following of fanatics, they aren't all gone yet.
I have to admit reading through all this sh!t I find pretty tedious, but the WBC aren't going to come out and say "Oh God, we're so sorry, we really fukced up and we are goiing to make sure we put things right straight away". No, the best you're likely to get is "There is no evidence that Mr. Povetkin ingested Meldonium at any time after 1st January 2016" and that's what they say in point 11 isn't it? Well if that's the case then Povetkin never had a case to answer did he?

I know sometimes Asdfjkl comes across as nutty as a fruit-cake and a bit of an obsessive but in among some of the over-the-top accusations, he makes some good points even on this thread already, and if you find it tiresome that not everyone is prepared to let these guys just brush it under the carpet along with Poviktim himself then tough-shit.

Look at the latest situation : Hey Bermane, when you fighting Wilder? Der I dunno, still waiting to hear. All I know is I'm next up and I ain't taking no step aside money. Hey Deontay when you fighting Stiverne? It's all agreed I'm just waiting to hear. There's no date yet.

What's the hold up? Why don't they get this crap-fest out the way so we can look forward to seeing Deontay fight a real opponent? I'm trying to fight my natural skepticism which is telling me that's precisely the point. People like Ortiz and Povetkin aren't getting any younger.

Ryabinski has said it was most likely just a matter of time before the WBC and such realise how dumb they are as well. He said it in other words than that, but that was basically the message. Also, Povetkin was innocent in both cases. I even heard from some people that the lab who said Povetkin was positive for that American substance is currently under investigation of Wada, remarkebly, or actually not at all, exactly what I expected and predicted. Somehow I can't find reliable sources for that (yet).

The lab who tested Povetkin is currently suspended:

"The suspension of these analyses by the UCLA Laboratory -- which is located in Los Angeles, California, United States -- is a result of WADA’s quality assessment procedures that identified non-conformities with best practice.

The Agency’s procedures focus on consistent analysis being carried out by WADA-accredited laboratories in order to ensure comparable, valid and reliable results; which, in turn, is intended to give athletes greater confidence and trust in the global anti-doping system."

All ofcourse very remarkeble...

"* The WADA accreditation of the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory – USA has been partially suspended from reporting any Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF)"

povetkin is overrated, because he was
half decent in an era of bums. now he
has run out of time to make anything
meaningful.

but of course even more overrated is
the greatest duck of all time, deontay
milder. actually he might be decent,
yet due to lack of courage we will never
find out.

To be fair Asdfjkl that's pretty much what we'd expect him to say isn't it, whether you make him right or not?
bigjack wrote:I really like him, whether he cheated or not i'll never know the truth but i like his fighting style.
Yeah me too and more than that I like the fact that if he did fight Wilder, a lot of people would give him a 40 - 60% chance of beating him, and how many fighters could you say that about?

I just don't understand how people don't wat him on the scene. I'm a Joshua man but I want more fighters around that can test him not less :brick:

OMG really? More Povetkin talk? What is wrong with you people? Honestly. How can you continue to talk about his guy and create posts about this? I mean it's absolutely ridiculous. The guys had 1 fight since 2015 and the rest of the time, he's had a needle in his ass.

GET OVER IT. With all of the excitement in Boxing right now, how can anyone find a way to make Povetkin a worthy subject top discuss.

Propaganda
That's all this is. Wtf do you expect his own team to say???
He has not been cleared by the WBC and more than likely will not be cleared by then.
No facts have changed. Povetkin tested dirty
