Why not just announce it and then if other fights materialise they can be confirmed at a later date?
If Hughie is 'the most exciting prospect in heavyweight boxing,' then have the confidence to promote him as such.
I'm not averse to PPV as a model - I've mentioned several times on here that when I was unable to afford what would now be a Sky/BN subscription I could afford a PPV.
But if this is true, (which I find frankly unbelievable), it's surely a serious error of judgement from Warren. He can't possibly be placing fights like this outside the BT/BN platform.

Maybe he didn't fancy bankrolling it due to the high likelihood of it not happening?

Well the link has an error because FW is definitely not the promoter of the fight.
It's not confirmed he is involved yet ( obviously we will know in the next week)
I don't understand this at all. Hughie is listed on Warren's site as being one of his fighters. Warren was involved in the purse bid for the cancelled NZ fight. How is he not promoting the fight or (apparently) not even having the fight on his TV channel?
It looks damning for his 'new era' if one of his fighters ends up getting involved in a heavyweight title fight and anyone who picked up BT/BN on the back of it has to go elsewhere to see the fight.

Like the quoted post. It just does not make sense. Wank Foreign is entrenched with the Furys, and yet this Parker match is not under his promotion company.

I'm surprised Parker doesn't have bigger fish to fry. He must see the Fury fight as an easy defence which has the added bonus of boosting his profile in the UK with the hope that it gets him near the front of the queue for the AJ gravy train.

He had a note from his mum. Peter Fury says it's all good now.
Huey is at about Parker's level. Pretty even fight. Parker wants to fight the best, but is not quite ready yet- his own words. He does not have any real amateur experience so is still pretty green.

Sky, ITV and BT have all covered the announcement of this fight in some way. Can't read too much into this at this time in terms of who will actually show it. Sky do give some (admittedly fairly minimal) coverage to things they don't show.
The link above is just a sports story on the BT sports website - not confirming they will be showing it.
It does seem something is going on behind the scenes with promotors etc, as a couple of weeks ago this looked nailed on for BT/allegedly.
