Alexander Povektin vs. Andrey Rudenko: Who's watching?
Re: Alexander Povektin vs. Andrey Rudenko: Who's watching?
Through 3 Troyanovski is beating up that Italian Burns beat for the WBA. Dropped him twice and hurt him a bunch of times, though Di Rocco is still swinging for a big shot. Not a bad fight despite being 30-25 Troya.

Yeah has international fightsRob3_142 wrote:Found it, just on BN. I'll be honest, after the BT deal, I didn't know BN was continuing on as a stand alone channel.Rob3_142 wrote:What channel is it on? I can't see it on the BT Sports channels, unless I'm not looking hard enough!
Berchelt v miura next week is going to be an insane fight.
Re: Alexander Povektin vs. Andrey Rudenko: Who's watching?
And Troya brutally knocks him out with a right hand in the 4th. Di Rocco slumped against the ropes...
From what I've seen of him, the Italian did very well to win the EBU title and successfully defend it 4 times.

I like to see this, a winner in the ring instead of a paperworkwinner.

I don't understand what rufenko has been complaining about. Can someone tell me?

His neck....got hit there with a glancing blow in the first and really played it up.watsupdoc87 wrote:I don't understand what rufenko has been complaining about. Can someone tell me?
He's fighting scared here.
Re: Alexander Povektin vs. Andrey Rudenko: Who's watching?
Rudenko playing spoiler...trying to hold pretty much every time Pov gets close now.
Re: Alexander Povektin vs. Andrey Rudenko: Who's watching?
Rudenko taking more shots in the 7th (when he finally started to throw more). Showed a good chin though.

Going into the 9th now. Rudenko spoiling and showing a good chin, so Pov hasn't been able to get the stoppage, though he's landing more in these last two.

RudenKo is tough as old boots... or teak tough as the commentators say
Re: Alexander Povektin vs. Andrey Rudenko: Who's watching?
It's not a great fight, and Rudenko already has his excuses lined up after the defeat.
Povetkin is showing a few minor holes in his defence though.

Going into the 12th
Pov way ahead and but not looking great. Rudenko has spoiled for most of the contest and is now holding constantly.

Poor fight.
Reminds me of the Parker/Cojanu fight. Very one sided, with the eventual winner struggling to make inroads on their opponent.

Well his 5 fight ko streak is over.
Amazing he tests clean and looks like garbage.

Exactly Takam has miles more pedigree than rudenko yet Pedvetkin chins him.tiny_acres wrote:Well his 5 fight ko streak is over.

Re: Alexander Povektin vs. Andrey Rudenko: Who's watching?
Takam was pressing and fighting hard to win (thereby expending more energy and creating more openings), while Rudenko was mainly covering up and holding, with punches of his own being an afterthought.Naandrew wrote:Exactly Takam has miles more pedigree than rudenko yet Pedvetkin chins him.tiny_acres wrote:Well his 5 fight ko streak is over.

One came to win, the other came to survive.
