That's a bizarre characterization; he's not a prolific holder at all and for the most part has given aggressive stoppage performances over the last several years. That post sounds like it was written by someone who hasn't seen him fight.

Well I switch on this morning to be confronted with a shit-storm of hate over a mistake it seems I made and suddenly it's not looking quite so hard.

Yes I did read the article, I saw the date in the top right hand corner and wrongly took that to mean it was a new pronouncement. I guess I was expecting to see that based on what another poster had said, and based on Povetkin's reinstatement by the WBA and WBO. I don't discount the possibility that the WBC may make a similar move not necessarily anytime soon, something seems to be going on behind the scenes, but like I said, it won't be an apology, we got it wrong, it will be done without fuss or not all.

I don't retract what I have said all along that Povetkin may have been the victim of a miscarriage of justice, but it's clear to me now that I was wrong in what I said about the WBC having admitted it, so I apologize to each and every one of you unreservedly for having fukced up and jumped the gun.

All I will say in my defence is my crime stems from wanting to watch the best fighters in the world free to fight each other with none unfairly frozen out by any of these self-serving governing bodies, I mean all of the corrupt bastards, not just the WBC. I'm sure I heard recently that the WBO have Alexandr Ustinov at number two in their rankings. The guy hasn't even fought anyone for I don't know how long and who has he beaten anyway, a washed up David Tua back in 2013. How TF can anyone make a case for that or pretend that it's anything other than the ranking has been sold for money? Say what you like about Box-recs rankings, they throw up some curious anomalies from time to time, but it least you know they're genuine and above board and not reflective of who's paid the most money.

Anyway thank you for letting me share your community it's been fun. I'm sure I'm not going to be able to resist looking in occasionally but the plan is, I'm going to take Caldo and Badhusker up on their suggestion. Now seems a good time.
