Povetkin is overrated
Povetkin is overrated
Let's be honest ..
After Wladimir schooled him Povetkin faced weak opposition - Wach , Charr , Rudenko , Dohoupas on one day notice. All of those bums have no power , are overrated and mostly know only because they faced Klit brothers.
The biggest myth was that Povetkin looked "monstrous" against good opposition.
Even on peds he struggled against Takam (before Takam gassed out).
So after all of those 4 years he had only one good win and it was against Mike Perez who is not world champion material and never be.
I can not even imagine Joshua against Rudenko.
It would be another story.
Another myth about Povetkin is that he has one of best chin in hw division - Thats another BS by his fans.
Wladimir was knocking down this dude with his jab.
His chin is just another myth - all based on his weak opponents who can not punch at all.
This guy is totaly overrated and it is sad that some biased eastern euro guys think he is better than Joshua or Fury.
This dude stands no chance even against Usyk who would absolutely expose his terrible defence.
In glad that injured Rudenko exposed that myth about killer Russian.
He faced bumz who are 100 levels behind Joshua.
Also he barely landed a punch on Wladimir and Joshua sparked Wladinir out.
Povetkin has to be one of most overrated eastern euro fighters right now.
This dude is just a basic boxer puncher

Re: Povetkin is overrated
I'd have to say, Povetkin is clearly on his way down, but still a risky boxer for any beltholder and he got a good chin.
Re: Povetkin is overrated
PEDvetkin is a Russian virus that has infected boxing forums worldwide.

He was never so good as his fanboyz imagined.
He was fighting weak ass opposition with peds in his blood.
Charr Wach Rudenko lmaoooo.
Joshua would kill both Rudenko and Wach inside 7 rounds

Not surprising his knockout streak ends at the same time as his drug test failing does.

Re: Povetkin is overrated
AJ is currently the best boxer in the world, Klitschko couldn't do it, Fury couldn't do it, Parker couldn't KO Takam and let's be honest, Wilder doesn't dare to fight any of these boxers, and whenever Wilder and any of the elite boxers fight the same guy, the elite guys clearly show a better performance as Wilder. In other words, Povetkin is, or in every case used to be, a better boxer. And really there still aren't that many boxers out there who have the odds above Povetkin.IronFrost wrote:asdfjkl wrote:I'd have to say, Povetkin is clearly on his way down, but still a risky boxer for any beltholder and he got a good chin.

Re: Povetkin is overrated
Lmao Hughie and Parker are both still novices and both are not devastating punchers . Wilder and Joshua would both stop Rudenko or Wach and it is not even question. Povetkin is just lucky they canceled his fight with bum squad. He would get KTFO in his own countryasdfjkl wrote:AJ is currently the best boxer in the world, Klitschko couldn't do it, Fury couldn't do it, Parker couldn't KO Takam and let's be honest, Wilder doesn't dare to fight any of these boxers, and whenever Wilder and any of the elite boxers fight the same guy, the elite guys clearly show a better performance as Wilder. Re: Povetkin is overrated
Lol, Wach would easely KO Wilder in one, or two rounds, Rudenko perhaps in 3 or 4, but that's really it. Parker and Hughie are soon going to fight for a belt. There's a reason why Wilder ducked Hughie who would have had to travel alone in America at the age of 20. All Hughie asked was 8 weeks notice, but no, Wilder ducked and fought Duhaupas 7,5 weeks later.IronFrost wrote:Lmao Hughie and Parker are both still novices and both are not devastating punchers . Wach recently could not ko a bum who was ranked 200 by boxrec. Stop this comedy. And if you are serious than you know shit about boxing. Because Wach and Rudenko are not even better than Szpilka or Washington. Now Gtfo

You didn't even realise it was a joke? I assumed you made a joke when you said Wilder could stop Wach or Rudenko, he simply can't.IronFrost wrote:asdfjkl wrote:Lol, Wach would easely KO Wilder in one, or two rounds, Rudenko perhaps in 3 or 4, but that's really it. Re: Povetkin is overrated
Yea lol, and James Northey probably destroys Wilder in no time... Povetkin had a different style of fighting back then, Povetkin didn't often go for the KO.IronFrost wrote:asdfjkl wrote:You didn't even realise it was a joke? Re: Povetkin is overrated
Yeah, different style. No peds.
Re: Povetkin is overrated
If you think that Duhaupas, Wach, and Takam are weak opposition, then you know absolutely nothing about what constitutes standard competition for a world class heavyweight. In just Povetkin's last 6 fights, he's beat better opposition than Luis Ortiz, Deontay Wilder, Joseph Parker, and Kubrat Pulev have in their entire careers.IronFrost wrote:After Wladimir schooled him Povetkin faced weak opposition - Wach , Charr , Rudenko , Dohoupas
Re: Povetkin is overrated
It seemed to me Povetkin didn't look as big physically against Rudenko like some other fights I'd seen him in.

He fought bums in his last fights. GTFO with your biased shiat.
Wach is not even better than Artur Szpilka
Dohoupas is not better than Washington
Takam is even with Andy Ruiz or maybe even worse.
Povetkin fought nobodies after Wlad whooped his ass.

I'm still waiting for a link or a proof confirming Povetking using PEDs in 2014..IronFrost wrote: Povetkin fought nobodies after Wlad whooped his ass.

Then it's clearly in your mind, he was lighter in his previous two fights.MachoTime wrote:It seemed to me Povetkin didn't look as big physically against Rudenko like some other fights I'd seen him in.
Re: Povetkin is overrated
I thought PEDvetkin looked relatively decent yesterday. Of course, if it would have been Wilder landing those Rudenko right hands to the button it would have been
time.
