Has anybody from Dundee ever lost a fight?

The fights where Ronnie lost I have always said they were close. 1 or 2 rounds in it. Not Robberies as such just hometown decisions. Anyone who believes firstly that fight was close and secondly that Josh won know nothing about boxing.. Jamie boxed out of his Skin. Anyone who hasn't watched it go watch it on Only Full Fights on Facebook.. Josh Warrington has spoke to Jamie after the fight and said he was robbed.. It's not a shock in Doncaster Maxi Hughes got a gift of a draw against Ronnie and on the Same night Gavin McDonnell got a gift I'm sure it was against Ashley Lane where they both clearly lost. Funny enough Howard Foster was scoring all 3 fights.. This is the worst one I have seen if it was the other way round I would be saying the exact same.. Hate cheating and that's what this is
The maxi Hughes fight could av gone either way was far from gift and to say it's no shock in Doncaster I've been there when townend lost a close one to Curran and Davies when cunningham lost a close one to burkinshaw and booth and when Barratt lost a close one all stefys lads loosing close ones on his own promotion hardly happens alot in Doncaster like you are referring to

I remember Gav McDonnell v Paul Economides on Steffy Bull's show. Consensus ringside was Paul by two, or Gav by two, close fight, no complaints. Issue was that the scorecard made it seem like a shut out, which was crap.

Seems part on parcel of non televised away shows, but my god, it is frustrating.

Of course, he didn't fight on it, but still...
Ronnie had a ticket for the show but couldn't make it - the ticket was robbed!

I agree that fight was closer than the scorecards announced

Yeah, I had no issue with Gav winning. I remember Josh Wale's dad had Gav by two, but there was total bemusement at the cards.

I think it was one of those fights where your view of the cards is clouded by how you watched it.

From distance (which is what the live stream showed) it appeared that Wilson was the one the front foot, pressing the action. But the consensus around ringside was that it was a close fight, but too many of Wilson's shots either missed or landed on gloves and elbows, while Josh landed the better shots as counters.

I can only go on what I have seen.. You name is linked to Stefy Bull so that says a lot.. Ronnie won 3-1 against Maxi it could not of gone either way. Maxi got a gift of a round to give him a draw. I'm sure you have said before that most people agreed that Ronnie won that fight.. Jamie out worked Josh throughout the fight.. The 116-112 is a joke of a scorecard.. Away from home 115-114 to Jamie I could maybe take.. Don't let local bias get in the way of who actually won that fight

I haven't seen the fight but your saying it was a robbery all I've read on twitter is that it was a close fight which could av gone either way unless it's people from Scotland tweeting who say it was a robbery I thought Ronnie beat maxi by a round your saying it was a gift it wasn't it was a close hard fight what could have gone either way

The name is because I was raging bull when used to post on doghouse boxing years ago when I came to join this site raging bull was taken so I used Dhb-raging Bull the dhb referring to dog house boxing I know stefy posts on here under fight academy but he isn't linked to me I just live in the same area and pop into his gym in Mexborough every now and again to see how the lads are doing and used to take a fitness class and with me being from Doncaster I like to see stefy lads do well or lads from Yorkshire in general

It was a gift in a 4 round fight and you only won one round it's a gift to get a draw.. Was close in the sense of it only being 4 rounds but Maxi was getting out powered by the stronger fighter and tried to trade which made him struggle.. Maxi has come on from then and would not be as silly but that's history.. That same night Ashley Lane got robbed from Gavin McDonnell and I'm sure there was another one.. Watch the fight I'm sure you will agree

Josh wale British champion you'll never hear Ronnie Clark british champion and thats your problem all stefys kids get your criticism, andy Townsend had it, maxi Hughes, now josh ,your very bitter for some reason Wilson and your brother just arent good enough,Dundee never had a major title holder in professional boxing maybe you should concentrate on trying to produce one instead of criticising the boxers that have won one ,Barnsley have two reigning British champions, have nice day.

Is it not Townend?? To make it clear no criticism just said he was weight drained at Super Feather I knew when he stepped up he would get stopped and he did.. I quite like the kid decent power and likes to fight.. Maxi Hughes another one I quite like will fight anyone lost the first fight v Ronnie would stand a better chance in the 2nd he would not be daft enough to stand in front of him.. Robbie Barrett I haven't really mentioned he beat the worst British Champion on years in Scotty Cardle and it that it was very close... He will in my opinion be beaten quite comfortably by Lewis Ritson but time will tell.. As for Josh Wale I do like him the way to beat him was to outwork him which Jamie clearly done.. I didn't expect Jamie to be able to physically bully Josh and that was the huge difference in this fight.. I watched on a Facebook stream and could only give Josh 3 rounds at a push.. A real champion doesn't need a belt..

As for you going on about Ronnie... Ronnie had fought the best at his weight and been in fights that could of gone either way.. Martin J Ward would beat Robbie Barrett easily and Easily beat Townend yet was very lucky in a close fight with Ronnie.. Stefy can sort this quite easily have the rematch in Scotland see what happens with neutral judges.. Jamie now knows he is at that level and is better than Josh in the rematch he will stop Josh late into the fight.. Champions don't need belts.. Champions need heart

Watched this fight back on Facebook after hearing it was one of the worst decisions people have ever seen and I disagree it was a very very close fight don't get me wrong I thought Wilson done enough to get the win but it was a close fight not a complete robbery would be interesting to see the rematch
