Why Pacquiao didn't retire after the fight with Floyd?
I can't understand why he din't retire after that fight. I have the feeling he's used . He did enough and he should've retired and enjoy his life. What is the reason ?
He can't say NO to Arum?
He likes to give free money to people that didn't do $hit for him?
He's in big depth?
I'd like to see him retired.

Money is not the main answer. He made a fortune in his career. He made ~150 million against floyd. He afterwards bought a 20 million mansion in LA. He has enough $.
What i think, 3 reasons why he continues.
1) he likes to fight. Its in his blood.
2) he maybe bored without the adrenalin rush that gives boxing. Inside the ring and also outside of the ring the love from fans
3) he is stupid. Doesnt understand that he made enough money. Has nothing else to prove and is way past his prime. Sure bob is pushing him to continue, but an inteligent boxer would answer that he aint risking his health for that old moron

I think Pacquiao is gonna end up broke even if he made a fortune. People around him are fooling him and take advantage of him as much as they can.Jip wrote:Money is not the main answer. Lets not forget. Manny came from the slums. He came from the very poor. He is uneducated.apollo creed wrote:I think Pacquiao is gonna end up broke even if he made a fortune. But even for the uneducated there is a simple rules for money. If you follow this than everything is all right. The rule is: the money that doesnt leave your bank account, stays in your bank account. Sounds stupid, bevause it is simple and obvious. But lot of people are stupid and simple minded. He better have a good financiel adviser and some common sense otherwise you could be right

Exactly, and he can still do it very well. This is great for him, another huge payday without having to get destroyed by Crawford.gilgamesh wrote:There's Million$$$ of reasons why he didn't retire.

He honestly should've retired after defeating Bradley. He hasn't looked great since the Marquez fight. Went right downhill after getting KO'd.

Because he looked great against the best version of Bradley he faced.
Re: Why Pacquiao didn't retire after the fight with Floyd?
After Mayweather, he beat Bradley and Vargas. He must have felt that he wasn't finished yet. Like, you've got RJJ, Mosley, etc. still fighting, and Pacquiao is definitely nearer to his prime than they are. Pacquiao is still world class, even now. He might as well keep fighting as long as he can beat top 15 opponents, which of course, he unofficially did beat Horn. If he wants to retire now, he could. If he wants to keep going, he could. There is really no impetus for him to retire, though. Just because he got robbed, that's not the same as being finished. More importantly, his earning ability is still in the millions of dollars per fight -- he's not like some past-it greats who are getting 5-6 figures per fight.

Styles make fights. He is still the fastest boxer on his feet at ww. If boxed a la oscar version. Hit and run like the pu#;&_y floyd he probably beat thurman and spence. But since he fights like a man he would rumble and get tkog by the younger bigger more powerful t & s

He for a tremendous ego, and that can kick you in the ass sometimes. Ask Roy Jones Jr. about that.
