I'm an American and I care, but the media shouts the loudest. The boxing mainstream media with Ring Magazine and HBO had an agenda to ignore the fouls and declared Ward P4P No. 1. Ward is American and speaks English better than Kovalev and HBO wants to broadcast the next fight of the perceived P4P No. 1. They don't care about the rules when it goes against their agenda.asdfjkl wrote:It's obvious, the winner is usually the guy who's expected to generate the most money, that's clearly Ward, so the Americans let Ward win. Re: Ward/Kovalev 2 PPV Numbers
Put Golovkin/Monroe Jr. on PPV and see how much he does. Ward's style is toxic for PPV fights, and now that people knew that going into the fight, the PPV numbers showed it. Also, they did not hype this PPV up at all. Pick yourself off the deck and stop being stupid.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Yet that moron mexi-wrong still clings to his ridiculous assertion that ggg isn't a bigger draw than kovalev.

Nobody wanted to watch a Russian get robbed blind again by an American backed by 3 corrupt American officials... Last time there were 4 corrupt ones.

I guess you can't have many controversial outcomes if you dont have any world-class fighters. I used to like Regilio Tuur in the 1990s and he fought in the US quite a bit without getting screwed by the judges.
My point was that any country with boxers good enough to fight for globally significant bouts has their share of tainted decisions/outcomes. Thailand, Italy and Germany come to mind as places with FAR MORE than their share of crookery.

Re: Ward/Kovalev 2 PPV Numbers
We got Tyrone Spong, somehow he seems to struggle to get serious fights, he does fly all over the world to accept any challenge somehow, but most of the time they refuse to fight, simply don't show up, or look for other way to get out of the fight. He's scared to get screwed by referees and because of that usually goes for the KO. Here on boxrec I regularly see Tyrone scheduled for a fight, but in the end nobody shows up, or it's only an idiot.Best Coast wrote:You got me there.asdfjkl wrote:Netherlands, good luck.Best Coast wrote: Feel free to let us know which nation you are from, so we can at least find a few controversial outcomes to remind you of that took place in your homeland.![]()

The Dutch are usually more interested in heavyweight kickboxing, I know that Rico Verhoeven (heavyweigth champion in kickboxing, 270 pounds ish), is a sparringspartner of Tyson Fury.
And Regilio Tuur is a joke, he once was some kind of personal trainer from a Dutch "celebrity" and trained with her in the gym, a good friend of mine trained there as well with his sister when he was 18 years old or something, his sister probably 15 or so then Regilio Tuur, who must have been 33 or so years old I guess was looking to his sister like he would love to go to bed with her. So my friend switched angry faces with him. Later they started training and my friend deliberately trained right next to him on a treadmill, while Regilio was training with that celebrity, supporting her. So my friend, who ran long distances (but ofcourse Regilio didn't know that), raised the speed of his own treadmill to let Regilio look like an idiot. Then Regilio, who was together with that celeb saw her looking to my friend and Regilio and saw that she and Regilio couldn't keep up against that 18yo, then Regilio said to her "Hardlopers zijn doodlopers" which means something like "slow and steady wins the race", so my friend raised it even further and kept running at that speed. After 10 minits or so Regilio stopped together with her, him beïng totally destroyed while my friend was still running and at a higher speed. Then they dressed up and when he finished that my friend was still running.
On top of that, Regilio is really really small, and uncredebly dumb, he doesn't impress me at all when I see him.
