Junior featherweight world titleholder Guillermo Rigondeaux and interim titlist Moises Flores were ordered Wednesday to meet in an immediate rematch following their first-round no decision on June 17.
In a letter ratifying its decision, the WBA wrote that it had reviewed the fight and "the report confirmed Rigondeaux's knockout punch landed after the sound of the bell, thus it is a breach [of] boxing rules. ... The use of the instant replay was not done convincingly in order to avoid the controversy at the end of this bout. We suggest reviewing the WBA protocol for the use of the instant replay. Despite the reversed decision, medical safety shall be considered since Flores was actually knocked out."
The Nevada commission gave Flores, 30, of Mexico, a 60-day medical suspension because of the knockout, but it will not interfere with a potential rematch. The WBA ruled that the rematch must happen within 150 days of the first bout (mid-November).

Re: Guillermo Rigondeaux and Moises Flores Rematch Ordered
The first Rigondeaux-Flores fight was a mismatch, so I expect the rematch to be no difference.
Hopefully Guillermo connects cleanly before the bell next time, with such severity that Moises won't be conscious enough to able put on a theatrical Oscar-winning performance.

Waste of time.

Garbage the first time, Garbage the 2nd time.
Hopefully Rigo passes on this altogether and moves up to take on a meaningful opponent before old age comes calling...it's made a lot of contacts and it's gonna have his number any time now.
What I'm saying is...he better take the money fights while they're still on the table. Because, dull as he is...once he loses, they're never coming back.

Moises Flores is not only a disgrace to himself but a disgrace to the great warrior tradition of Mexican fighters. Lying on the canvas in hopes of a DQ win was a cowardly act and Flores lost a lot of respect among Mexican fans for that pathetic move.
Rigo will tear that pathetic clown apart in that undeserved rematch.
