Crolla v Burns
These chaps tweeting each other calling for a fight in Manchester or Glasgow.
Is it a fight you'd watch?
How do you see it going?

Only if Burns is moving back down to lightweight.

Ello Orse. Hope you're well.Horse wrote:Only if Burns is moving back down to lightweight.
I was wondering the same myself. Maybe Crolla feels it's time to move up?
Shame as I wanted to see him and Flanagan

Re: CrollaBurns
Crackin' little end of the road fight for me, great fight night headline, and if the first's a slobber knocker, make it a trilogy. Would hope they go to Manchester & Scotland.
Unfortunately if this fight happens, the undercard will probably be shite. But I won't complain too much.

Re: CrollaBurns
Zero interest in this fight. Crolla's nowhere near big enough to be a light-welter and to be honest, nor is Burns.Taansend wrote:Ello Orse. Hope you're well.Horse wrote:Only if Burns is moving back down to lightweight.

Should be one fight that Crolla wants and that's Terry Flanagan.

Ricky Burns and Anthony Crolla set for all-British bout
https://stv.tv/sport/more/1393034-ricky ... tish-bout/
According to this, it would be at 140 pounds.
October 14 has been pencilled in as a provisional fight date.
Burns said: "Timeline going daft tonight. Fight with Anthony Crolla was offered and I'm right up for it, would be a cracking fight in Manchester or Glasgow."
Crolla replied: "Right offer then so am I mate. Same here whether it be Manchester or Glasgow."

Re: CrollaBurns
I suppose Burns-Crolla is easier to make because of Hearn..ozzy1875 wrote:Zero interest in this fight. Crolla's nowhere near big enough to be a light-welter and to be honest, nor is Burns.Taansend wrote:Ello Orse. Hope you're well.Horse wrote:Only if Burns is moving back down to lightweight.

Wheras Flanagan vs. Crolla isn't.
Re: CrollaBurns
no intrest in this fight. Crolla should stop ducking flanagan, he turned down another offer. Makes no sense, fight burns in nothing fight that no one cares about or fight flanagan for a world title in manc darby. These guys went to the same school as well ffs!

Re: CrollaBurns
Same and agree with the Flanagan fight but I have said it for years as long as he is trained by Joe Gallagher that will never happen.ozzy1875 wrote:Zero interest in this fight. That pointless Linares rematch was a really damaging fight as well.

Re: CrollaBurns
Whether it's at 135 or 140 I'd favor Crolla.
I think CrollaBurns rolls off the tongue better.

Re: CrollaBurns
Good fight, see what Burns has left - he's a better fighter than Crolla.
Re: CrollaBurns
Pointless because the first fight wasn't even close and there was no need for an immediate rematch.Horse wrote:Pointless?Naandrew wrote:Same and agree with the Flanagan fight but I have said it for years as long as he is trained by Joe Gallagher that will never happen.

Crolla took an absolute pasting in that second fight. I was there and scored it 120-107.

Re: CrollaBurns
If Burns wants to stay relevant he should fight the winner of Taylor v Davies.
Re: CrollaBurns
If Taylor wins I think that is the only fight that makes sense for Burns.CaptainSpacerod wrote:If Burns wants to stay relevant he should fight the winner of Taylor v Davies.
That could be a true changing of the guard in Scotland

Crolla needs a win before he can fight for a WBO title..

Re: CrollaBurns
You see, Cotto hasn't won either, but he gets a world title shot. I think this rule only applied for Englishman lolDannyMCR wrote:Crolla needs a win before he can fight for a WBO title..
