Straight up fight with fists, leg kicks and knees. Floyd would've been in a world of pain.

Floyd fighting a fair fight? That's impossible.

Imagine this fight on k1 rules?! I wonder how Floyd would be able to run when his legs are hurt?

What would be the point? Boxer and MMA fighter competing in kickboxing makes no sense.

Well, it's not like either of them is currently the best in boxing, not even in their own weightclass.

It's actually a solid compromise. Not sure what other way they could meet at the middle. A boxer and a MMGay fighter competing in boxing makes no damn sense.

If it were anything but a Boxing match Floyd would've never signed up for it. Why would he? To appease you?

The point is that MMA fans want to see MMA fighter beat Boxer in his game. Them doing kickboxing doesn't answer any relevant question. Nobody wants to know which one of them is a better kickboxer? What next, Mayweather McGregor playing tennis?

Them doing boxing answers no relevant question. No real boxing fan wants to see this circus.

It answers the question of whether a MMA star can beat a boxing star in the boxing ring. On MMA forum half of fans voted for McGregor win. And before you say anything remember that there are lots of boxing fans, including on this forum, deluded in thinking that boxer would beat MMA guy in the octagon easy.

I've not seen a single fan on any prestigious forum saying that. No one at the forum I frequent thinks that, and this forum has a lot of trolls and blatantly stupid posters.

Mayweather vs. McGregor in a boxing ring is like putting the #1 Iron Man World Champion in a sprinting match with Usain Bolt. It's a futile effort. At the very least, K1 rules would be them meeting in the middle. Hell, IIRC (not sure if it was kickboxing or Muay Thai), Ruenroeng fought under those rules a while back.

Those of you that have watched or been in street fights know that a guy skilled with mma tactics beats a good boxer 99% of the time. A lot of former wrestlers that can't box will destroy you on the ground. I once saw a 150lb 6 foot wrestler beat the dogshit out of a 6'6" 270lb guy that was a decent boxer (once he got him down).

McGregor would submit Floyd and have him crying within 1 minute.

That's if a Boxer does not land first. A Big Heavyweight Boxer can hurt someone pretty bad with the jab alone. No Gloves.

Mayweather doesn't have that kind of power, and McGregor looks to have a solid chin.

Put it this way, I'd bet a million $ McGegor stops Floyd with mma rules, but only $100 that Floyd stops him with boxing rules.

McGregor will be a bloody message by round 8.
Eating a hundred jabs will swell his face and cause cuts around eyes. The fight will be stopped

I think you could be right TA, but a lot depends on the ref, and how much rough house tactics they let McGregor get away with. If things are going south for him, Conor may sacrifice points to stay in it.

IMO

Based on a first to land scenario. Mayweather would have little success against McGregor in a MMA rules Fight. For one or two minutes or so.

Than McGregor's chance's in a Boxing match with Mayweather.

Don't think the first punch scenario help's McGregor much in a Boxing match rules contest. Mayweather a little better in MMA Rules match.

Either way the result is the same. McGregor stops Mayweather early by submission in a MMA rules match. Mayweather just picks apart McGregor in a Boxing ring until he quits or gets knocked out.

I'm talking about in an MMGay ring. Mayweather would have zero success there.

Spot on. People don't understand that is an unfair contest and the middle way would've been a k1 contest. Yeah Conor will make a ton of money but this show would've worth the money if it would be on k1 rules. :OhYes:

Why would Floyd have chosen a "middle way"? He holds all the negotiating power.

There'd probably be less money in it if it weren't a Boxing match ironically. I've never heard of Kickboxers getting paid ANYWHERE NEAR what Floyd or Conor are making for this.

Hell the Prize Money for winning the K-1 Grand Prix used to be like 250,000.
