Bika v Sharp
Bika v Sharp
tell me this fight hasn't been sanctioned - or is it in Queensland !
Re: Bika v Sharp
This miss-match is down at Fairy Meadow NSW (near Wollongong) and Sharp was beaten up in three of his last four fights.
Not a good look, and Sakio is penciled in also for 28th October.
Notice that Robert Medley is fighting for the super-middleweight national title on 24th June, and maybe a consideration to fight Sakio on 28th October.
On a heavier note, the one and only John Hopoate, no spring-chicken at age 42, is nominated to fight debutante, Nathan Bell in Ulladulla, NSW on 24th November. Hoppa's last ring appearances were pretty dreadful, so why get back in the ring?

Nathan Bell has got big plans http://www.southcoastregister.com.au/st ... -the-ring/
Re: Bika v Sharp
A joke fight but to be fair to Sakio he has been fighting top calibre fighters and is coming off a 2 year lay off.
Re: Bika v Sharp
Bika hasn't fought in more than two years and hasn't won a fight in four so it's not as terrible as it looks on paper; he should win with ease but I think he's done at the highest level. The joke WBC belt on offer will probably get him ranked so that should set him up for a cash out fight down the line...

Bika stopped Sharp. TKO in the 7th.
Re: Bika v Sharp
So it wasn't the best match up but at least Sakio got another 7 rounds under his belt after not fighting for a fair while. Obviously his best days are behind him, but if he wants to continue fighting, he has to get the rounds in before stepping up his opposition.Like a Boss wrote:Bika stopped Sharp. TKO in the 7th.

Just seen the weights, obviously Sharp never had intention of making the SMW limit...

How much over super middle was he?chinarich wrote:Just seen the weights, obviously Sharp never had intention of making the SMW limit...
Re: Bika v Sharp
He came in around 177, I think, couldn't exactly shift that with a last minute trip to the steam room...fox wrote:How much over super middle was he?chinarich wrote:Just seen the weights, obviously Sharp never had intention of making the SMW limit...

Over light heavy. Not real professional when there is a title is on the line regardless of what title it is. If the contract was at super middle he should have been a bit closer than that.chinarich wrote:He came in around 177, I think, couldn't exactly shift that with a last minute trip to the steam room...fox wrote:How much over super middle was he?chinarich wrote:Just seen the weights, obviously Sharp never had intention of making the SMW limit...
