Taylor for me, last night proved he's a top talent, i think he'd beat a prime Burns.

I'd prefer Josh to go after the British or European title's, be perfect preparation for a world title, which hopefully he can fight for when crawford moves up.

Taylor looked quality last night, so it's hard to predict impartially with that performance fresh in my mind.

Taylor is very big 140er though and tough and strong to back up his size. He's well schooled, at range, inside, body or head.

Burns is proven quality but at the end of a career so he's not as fresh. He's come up through the weights so I have no doubt he'll have to overcome physical disadvantage.

I like Taylor's chances, but as ever with someone untested, you can't be sure. If burns took him into the trenches, burns is proven to keep fighting no matter what, so there's a question can Taylor dig as deep.

It's a bit early for this fight althoughfor Scotland it'd be big

I couldn't agree more with this.
Burns is a proven long term gym rat, he's very experienced too and, win or lose, he'll take fighters to deeper waters than they anticipated.

I felt sorry for Burns last night. Three weight world champion, the most successful Scottish boxer of all time, and when he's on the way down people want to see him fight this 10-0 upstart who hasn't been anywhere the level he has but is very likely better now. Retire.

I don't agree , really like Ricky and he has been great for the game , but I think Taylor beats him convincingly by stoppage at this stage in his long career.

I would rather see Pac v Burns in Scotland as the next stop on Manny's world retirement tour.

Good call and they could both retire giving Ricky a good last payday

Taylor won't achieve what burns did in his career , but at this stage of his career he's all wrong for Ricky, and stops him late , Ricky can't box southpaws and Taylor just too sharp and fast , would rather see burns go for crolla as it's winnable , and Taylor go for British and European

Or Crolla, then Taylor. Both doable fights with good paydays.

I've been a huge admirer of Ricky and think he is easily top ten, possibly top 6, in Scottish boxing history.

However I think Taylor would really punish him at this stage in Rickys career. He's quick, a sharp puncher with really good footwork. Scottish boxing needs him to take over the mantle, I think he's an excellent prospect.

Fair play to Ricky if he takes the fight. Crolla would be a much easier night.

Crolla or Taylor either one would beat him.

Crolla v Burns would be close at this stage. Burns at his peak would beat Crolla easily.

Maybe. I've never been all that impressed by Burns. I figure Crolla would beat him clear.

I think Rickys been on the slide for a good while now. I doubt he'd still be boxing if he hadn't lost the court case.

No, but I figure he's at least still close to his fighting best. Ricky Burns isn't.

Don't think the fight does much for either at the moment. Burns has regressed to the point he'd get battered. Rather see Taylor v crolla. Think taylor wins but a bit more left in crollas tank.

Not a bad call. Wouldn't want to rush him too quickly but Campbell will be there for him at some point.
