Eastmans Stoppage

Just seen the finish, Eastman was pressuring Miranada for the first minute and half of round 7, then Eastman layed against the ropes, looked like he was trying to lure Miranada in, but Eastman didn't really throw anything back.
Miranda moved him into a corner where he let go some hard shots, not many landed cleanly, then just as Eastman moved out the corner he was stunned by a right hand, as he went to step foward his legs did a little dance ,and he was back in the corner. Miranda piled in and landed some hard shot cleanly, Eastman tryed to get his hands up but was caught by a couple more shots ending with a hard uppercut, the ref then stepped in.

Looking at it Eastmans head cleared quickly, but it reminded me of when Castillo was stopped by Coralles, If Miranda had been allowed to land many more shots Eastman could have been badly hurt.

Seemed a fair desicion by the ref.

as a big miranda fan i thought the stoppage was premature...eastman was nowhere NEAR as hurt as castillo vs corrales, but the hasty stoppage only hastened the inevitable...if eastman made it thru last 30 seconds of 7th (questionable at best) he would not have made it thru the 8th!!

I thought that McCraken was on the way up the steps to pull Eastman out when Miranda was landing his finishing shots anyway.

Shame for Howard that he lost, I've always like him ,but he just didn't get the chances when he was in his prime IMO.

eastman didnt TAKE his chances. ooowwweee he assed about too long against joppy, lost the fight, claimed he was robbed. jeeeez.
eastman messed up his opportunity to win the big one. the guy coulda won that fight - i know it, he knows it and 99% of the boxing frat knows it too.

i won't see the fight til next week.

how good is Miranda? anyone think he'll beat Abraham? AA seems to be develping one thing that Miranda is said to lack - finesse. Although I have to say one thig that disappointed me more than Abraham's last choice of opponent was his lacklustre performance.

Miranda stands a good chance against Abraham, he's very raw, but has good fitness and i'm not convinced on Abraham

Abraham needs some work. Seems almost like he won his title too early

anyhow, will be good that the US/Europe gap will be crossed, as there's good fighters on both sides

warriors boxing are building up an impressive stable - Bell, Cora, Dale Brown, Miranda, Glen Johnson

Totally agree. Had all the tools but never went the final step. A bit like Herol Graham you could say.

What's with all this fornicating Japanese boxing, what the fornicate are sky playing at? The only reason they can possibly be showing it, is that it is piss cheap and fills up their otherwise internationally starved schedules.

No Toney v Rahman, no Judah v Mayweather....absolute wank, and we'll have the priviledge of paying 15 quid to watch Hatton in what in reality is not a PPV worthy fight.

I for one am not paying to watch the hatton fight, if it's on free delayed, I'll do that.

You do get some quality fights coming out of Japan, Thailand and Korea, Personally i don't mind seeing some of those.
