I quite like the hard blokes who are egging others on, yet they are 3 back in the crowd making wanking signs. Those are the ones to be scared of, never know what they are thinking.
Re: Trouble at the Copperbox *VID*
Thats the thing that amazes me at boxing shows....everyone in the crowd instantly becomes a boxer
, half of em have never laced a glove on in there life but know everything about boxing and all think theyre the dogs bollocks with there mates around em..

See the man in the yellow steam in and get dropped? Hilarious
Anybody remember Mag 7 @ NEC? Best knockout of the night was in the crowd, even better than Enzo neaerly losing his head.

Re: Trouble at the Copperbox *VID*
So who where the hammers fans actually fighting? Does anyone know, like I don't understand who they were kicking off with as I thought the Ismail fella( could be well off with the name) was just brought in to lose and didn't carry much fans. So if that's the case who were they kicking off with? Or am I just looking into it too much and they were just sniffed pissed up "hardmen"?
Re: Trouble at the Copperbox *VID*
Someone who was there posted that they went after a relatively small group of black guys--Im guessing Byfield's supporters or people assumed to be his supporters.
Re: Trouble at the Copperbox *VID*
Always happens - you build fighter up with Football support mentality then you bring in the club captain etc....when it all goes horribly wrong it all kicks off.
Josh Warrington will be the same as soon as his cash cow comes to an end and he fights someone decent in Leeds or goes away.

Then check out the "hardman" in the black t-shirt who then starts smacking the guy who has just been dropped. We all used to have that mate who'd wait for one of us to do the dirty work firstSAPFO wrote:Some may have seen it, but here is what happened. Check black guy at 2:10

I know what you mean. One occasion as a teenager, a lad tried to bottle me during a fight but I ended up taking it off him and near caving his skull in (good old Karate as a kid). Not proud of that but heat of the moment stuff. When he was near unconscious on the floor a mate full pelted a tumbler on his bonce, absolutely no need for that. Kid was in hospital for a while we heard, but as they caused it by slapping my mates sister, they never reported it.
I honestly think UK firms should join TFC and have it out that way. It really will separate the boys from the men in an equal fight. YouTube it. Team Fighting Championship. I'd honestly be game for that.
Re: Trouble at the Copperbox *VID*
Pathetic stuff. I feel sorry for any ordinary boxing fan out to enjoy their night getting caught up in the middle of nonsense like that. I agree with the comment about Warrington's fans too. I was at Anthony Crolla-John Murray which had Warrington on the undercard against Rendall Munroe and there were a couple of similar break outs of brawling between what appeared to be Leeds and Manchester United fans. In coverage of Warrington's fight against Kiko Martinez the TV pundits were lauding the "tremendous atmosphere" which seemed nothing more than a mob of drunken blokes acting like daft teenagers.
I quite like going to watch live boxing but when it comes to these bigger shows it's always a lottery as to whether your night will be ruined, or at least detrimentally impacted, by people who are just out on the razz and attending "an event" as a vague justification for a bigger-than-usual drinking (plus, maybe, narcotic enhancement) session with little interest in most of the under card and engaged in near constant rotations to and from the bar.
Case in point - I gave Saturday's Josh Taylor- O'Hara Davies show a miss after Burns-Indongo was ruined by the bevvy merchants I got stuck surrounded by.
Wonder if Matchroom or allegedly would consider selling tickets for a section of the arena which is, if not designated "dry" or "quiet", at least reserved for customers with an intention to pay attention to the entire bill?

Was it Rob McCracken against Steve Foster when trouble broke out between Citeh and Brum fans?3132DW wrote:Always happens - you build fighter up with Football support mentality then you bring in the club captain etc....when it all goes horribly wrong it all kicks off.

I vaguely remember Nigel Benn getting a mouthful of tear gas although I may be mixing up my hooligan incidents.

There are a few of these so called hard men commenting on this thread
Anyone that thinks this is either funny, good or acceptable at a boxing event is no die hard boxing fan end of.

Re: Trouble at the Copperbox *VID*
Knacker's shouldn't be fighting at these events there are often kids there - if they want to fight they should meet up like the do in Russia two mobs w different coloured t shirts on sort the men from the boys
Re: Trouble at the Copperbox *VID*
Interesting that Boxing News has given this whole thing just a handful of lines tucked away in their fight report (by a freelancer not even a member of staff). Imagine if something like that had happened at Wimbledon or a major football match. But in boxing, at a major show in the capital, it hardly warrants a mention, even in our trade mag.
Worse still they have an interview piece from Ronald “discombobulated” Macintosh on page three that doesn’t even mention it, and he was ringside and one of the photos is at the copper box. So there were about 200 blokes fighting a few metres away from him in an incident that interrupted a live broadcast that he was working on and he didn’t even mention it. Great journalism from all involved.

It was Utd and Brum fans, Foster is from Salford, predominately a "red" areaTaansend wrote:Was it Rob McCracken against Steve Foster when trouble broke out between Citeh and Brum fans?3132DW wrote:Always happens - you build fighter up with Football support mentality then you bring in the club captain etc....when it all goes horribly wrong it all kicks off.

Yes the trouble at NEC was United fans (and a selection of gangsters, hooligans and armed robbers)from Salford and Birmingham's Zulu hooligans
