Mayweather-McGregor PPV Will Cost $99.95 to Watch in HD

The Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Conor McGregor fight will indeed cost just about $100 to watch in HD.

The Los Angeles Times Lance Pugmire first reported Monday that Showtime Pay-Per-View has set the price for Mayweather-McGregor at $89.95 to view in SD and $99.95 to watch in HD. That was the expected pay-per-view price since the fight was officially announced June 14 due to the intense interest in the August 26 bout in Las Vegas.

The price is the same that HBO Sports and Showtime Sports charged for the joint telecast of the Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao welterweight title fight in May 2015. That long-awaited bout drew a record of roughly 4.6 million buys and helped the overall revenue from the event to exceed $600 million.

The fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao was covered by Sky Sports Box Office who charged their customers up to £24.95 (the equivalent to $37.77) to watch the bout depending on how it was booked.

I do think it is a total mismatch but i watched all of Floyd s fight after the Corrales one and I ve seen Conor ´s run in the UFC and i will watch that fight. Even if there is the thiniest possibility that Mcgregor shock the world by either is punching power or unusual movement i want to see it

..my understanding is that this event will take place under the auspices of The Nevada State Athletic Commission, the organisation renowned for appointing local referee/judges in international high profile fights...do we have any confirmation regarding officiating?

Dana will be one and done with boxing. He's not stupid.

I watched the press conference and before I was not particularily interested in this fight. After seeing it I'm even less interested. Fake animosity, fake smack talk. All fake. I dont care about the result, I dont think that the fight will be enjoyable to watch and even if it is there isnt really anything at stake.

I cant believe that people are excited about this nonsense. The only good thing about this matter might be that Dana White is now gonna start taking a stake in boxing and he ofcourse is an accomplished business man that can have a positive impact on the sport if he wants to.

Dana's best friend, and ex boss used to be on the NSAC. He actually wanted to get more involved with boxing and try and get it going into a more healthy direction. But, he came to the conclusion that the sport was beyond repair. He ended up taking Dana up on his recommendation and buying the UFC for cheap. Dana will not take a stake in boxing.
