Damn near impossible to come back in your 40's after so much inactivity. I'm not saying it won't happen, I certainly wouldn't be shocked if Ibeabuchi fought in Africa or something, nothing is gonna come of it though.

I would just like to see him fight. Give him one or two warm-ups. If it goes decent let him fight with someone like Dimitrenko, Ustinov or Briggs.

Ibeabuchi would still be good if he still wanted it... The drive obviously isn't there... If you're feeling old and don't feel like you can do it -- it makes no sense.. If you put all your eggs in the basket -- plus all the drive and determination you can muster you can make it work... It's just hard at 44. Real hard.

He was deported, and I really doubt any half-serious promotor would be interested in him.

He is 44 or something like this, at the pictures from jail looked to be around 300 pounds, and has proven history of mental issues. Would you invest your money in such a risky business?

Byrd had some excellent moments against Ike before the fight imploded on him.

Tua beat Ike fair and square. Some of the shots that Ike took from Tua were monsterous. I have never seen any man before or since take such huge punches and not go down. Ike had the sports best chin ever if nothing more but these insanely hard shots probably contributed to Ike's mental problems. Granted Tua should only have won by a point or two so if we look at 10 point must systems then Tua certainly didnt destroy Ike but then if we look at those punches landing, "yeah he destroyed him".

Then a prime Lennox Lewis well he had zero problems with David Tua.

And a prime Byrd also managed to get the win against Tua.

Conclusion: Ike was mostly smoke and mirrors. Hard to imagine him somehow improving and defeating Lennox Lewis.

Byrd never had any "excellent" moments against Ike. It seemed like he was in eminent danger from the opening bell.. Ike actually laughed because Chris didn't put up much of a fight and was easy to walk down... Ibeabuchi trapped Byrd on the ropes and ripped him with super fast combinations to the head and body... It was obvious Ike was going to hurt Chris badly if the referee didn't intervene to save his life.

Ike was extremely green with 16 fights when he fought David Tua... He landed a record number of punches on Tua and had him beat from start to finish -- which was reflected in the UD the judges gave Ike... Chris Byrd also beat Tua by Unanimous Decision like Ike did -- because Tua was slow as George Foreman and fast boxers like Ike and Chris could pop him all night long.

Byrd came away from the Ibeabuchi fight greatly impressed.. "Ibeabuchi was the future of the Heavyweight Division had he not gone to prison."

Conclusion: Easy to see Ike Ibeabuchi crushing Lennox Lewis, who was knocked out with 1 shot by lessor fighters -- while Ike was never beaten or tied.
