Whats Yildrim like? Not followed his career too much.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Anvi Yildrim - TBA
I actually saw Eubank Jr at a grocery store in Brighton yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

He's a slugger who walks forward and gets to opponents with steady pressure. Good stamina, physically strong, and an okay puncher, but on the slow side and relatively limited in skill.jaymitch81 wrote:Whats Yildrim like? Not followed his career too much.
I imagine that Eubank's fights with Chud and Blackwell will give him plenty of confidence to beat someone with Yildirim's style.

Haha how random, they are weird as fuk the Eubanks

If that's true, it shows what an absolute cabbage head Eubank is. Give Tyson Fury, warts and all, any day of the week.pimp wrote:Taansend wrote:BitPlayer wrote:I actually saw Eubank Jr at a grocery store in Brighton yesterday. Doesn't bode well for the Turk then. A slugger could beat eubank, but you'd have to be a fairly big puncher. There's opportunity for a slugger as eubank fights up close, but if you don't punch hard, or if you are way slow, it won't be enough. I was quite confident golovkin was going beat him this way.crusader wrote:He's a slugger who walks forward and gets to opponents with steady pressure. I think a very good boxer can beat him as well. But you'd need a good jab, strong right hand and good footwork. I think Eubanks jab and long right aren't anything special, so a boxer could keep him out of range, but obviously you need to be top level to do it. It's basically this reason I'd back groves to beat him

Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Anvi Yildrim - TBA
Put my thoughts in Yildrim on another thread. Watched a few rounds of him vs Periban he is pretty poor. Eubank will give him a very on sided beat down and stop him in the second half of the fight. Looked very easy to land body shots on.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Anvi Yildrim - TBA
Slow, plodding, one paced fighter with poor technique and mediocre power. He will bring pressure and try to let his hands go unlike Abrahams corpse last night. But chances of him giving Eubank serious problems are slim.

By the looks of things Eubank is a dead cert for a semi against Groves.
Smith and Brand in the other.
Dark horse brand to beat Eubank in the final?
I recall Ward was not really fancied to do much in the super 6.

Watching his fight with Periban he seems very slow. Not ideal preparation for fighting George Groves at all I don't think.
Re: Chris Eubank jr vs. Anvi Yildrim - TBA
If he's slow and Eubank gets easier Fight then he'd surely be happy - he's sparred Groves umpteen times so he'll know what he's all about.jameswilson wrote:Watching his fight with Periban he seems very slow. Not ideal preparation for fighting George Groves at all I don't think.
Cox will make it pretty rough for Groves - Dirty fighter and makes it messy.

Last autumn our fridge stopped working, but, as its insured, we booked a repair. Three days later an engineer arrived. It was Chris Eubank Jr, when I asked him what he was doing he said " changing the motor" . After laughing at this misunderstanding he said " dad doesn't give me enough pocket money". It took him thirty minutes to change the motor, he was whistling " I'm simply the best" all the time. When he finished he asked if we wanted a photo, we said yes, he took a photo of the fridge. Then shouted out "AND THE NEW working fridge" he laughed so hard his monocle fell out !. When he left we noticed he had stolen two milky ways from inside the fridge !!.BitPlayer wrote:I actually saw Eubank Jr at a grocery store in Brighton yesterday.
