Gans' people say he would fight Nelson again in two weeks - but it would take two years when Gans would suffer back-to-back KO loses to the Durable Dane; youth was served.

Gans had TB at that point. He suddenly had no trouble making the 133 pounds that had always been such a struggle for him.

He died of TB in 1910, less than two years after "youth was served."
