Ronnie Clark jailed

Post by Floyd the snake »

News this morning Ronnie starting a 9 month stretch at Her Majesty's pleasure for bullying /controling his ex , disgusting behavior for a professional boxer to act like this , if it ends his career he can't blame anybody but himself .

I don't expect to change minds etc and end of day he's been given a sentence which a lot of people will look at and say guilty. A trial that has been corrupt from the start. The whole article is based on what she has said with not one piece of evidence to prove their is any substance. Wherself standing in court and saying he's never once out a finger on her . He went down to see his kids which the mention and that's what the whole case is about . A man who is being prevented from any access to his kids. A previous court battle where Ronnie took his kids for 3 month after being prevented for 9 months but again was taken away from him. I don't know expect anyone to care but that's the facts . Anyone who knows Ronnie yeah he has a strong personality but he is a dedicated sportsman. Never drinks, never took a drug In his life. In gym all year and let this be a lesson to others that be careful what you do cause a women can ruin your life at any moment .

Jesus. All a bit sobering. Just on the bareface of what was presented in that article, it seems 9 months is excessive to say the least, no mention of any violence or anything you would consider to be the actions of a dangerous individual. I would imagine he's not looking serving the full 9 months so a good chance he can continue his career when he gets out.

He's the first senstence . Made an example of him. Was told he was going to get a fine and community service. End of day it's done. People in Dundee all know that's not him and fair enough a bitter break up but at no point has he ever been violent . A case built on hearsay and vindictive lies.

What evidence did they have to prove there was something installed on her phone to track her? It didnt mention it in the article.

Hope he gets a chance to appeal it

There was no evidence. it was what she said. Same as the whole article . Been shafted because he's a boxer. It's a fact. Been no violence and he hasn't been in touch with her for 7 months and he gets jailed. System is magnificent

That is evidence.

I steal something from you and you see me do it and give a statement to police. Just because you were the only witness that means there isnt any evidence or there wasnt a crime? Not quite.

I know nothing of this case and so am making no judgments but your assessment is not a correct one. Perhaps what you meant was that there was no corroborating or supporting evidence.

A bitter ex girlfriends word against his. Jailed because he didn't want to be with her. Heard she's now casting for a role on emmerdale after her performance . I can't believe someone can be jailed for a nasty break up. World has gone insane

I have absolutely no confidence in the legal system, so I'm not going to vilify Clark, only wish him, the woman, and most importantly the children a better life going forward.

Until you've been on the wrong side of an incorrect legal decision you've got no idea what it feels like. Not saying he has, but I have and it's horrible.

And who was the brother that messaged her?surely there would be evidence if this was done on social media?its just crazy to think they would send him down on very little, or no evidence. A bloody shame for him

Can he appeal?surely would have grounds

No word of the brother but if that was case they would be charged also surely? A lot of rubbish. Ronnie isn't an angel and has been in bother before but she up routed his kids and he wasn't allowed to see them. The time he went and seen the kids he handed them winter coats and was no scene . One of her friends was the one being threatning

At least it clears up and explains the delayed announcement in his proposed fight with Zelfa Barrett.

Ive enjoyed watching Barrett progress but IMO he's well overdue a decent test and Clark would have provided just that.
I thought his uncle Pats protective arms would be getting in the way of this fight being announced but a pending court case is a reasonable excuse.

Sadly Ronnie is not the first and won't be the last to bring the sport into disrepute .
I hope he sorts himself out and wish him well.

Would imagine he will be back. To be honest we have not really cared about boxing lately. Not seeing his kids has had a massive impact on him and his own health and he was in no real position to fight. His manager is honestly a gentleman and without him this would be a lot harder. Taking him to Belfast and just keeping him sane .
