Floyd earned nothing in 2016 and 17, he only burned through millions. Haymon probably got a huge cut of that Pac payday. Whatever the hell the fool did with the Pac jackpot it's gone because he can't pay off the IRS.Rob3_142 wrote:What do you think he did with the $300m he earned from 2015? Your position is just not logical.
is it possible Floyd had to throw the fight to get McGregor to sign?

I think you're a little naive to believe he's not earned any money in 2016/17. This is 'money' Mayweather we're talking about here.montrealsuper wrote:Floyd earned nothing in 2016 and 17, he only burned through millions. Haymon probably got a huge cut of that Pac payday. He's been promoting boxers since 2007 through Mayweather Promotions, of which he currently has 22 boxers in his stable. He also has an impressive real estate portfolio with properties in Miami, New York, Los Angeles and Nevada.
I don't think he's short a bob or two.

Floyd hating to the extreme. Get a life dude.
Re: is it possible Floyd had to throw the fight to get McGregor to sign?
I don't think this is even Mayweather hate. This is just like tinfoil hat conspiracy theory. It's not even based on any facts, nor does it properly model the thought processes and motivations of the people involved. Like, montrealsuper thinks Mayweather would be begging and pleading McGregor for one final payday while making any and every concession; while McGregor would walk away from, by far, the biggest payday of his life unless he can get a vastly sweeter deal. That's not even rational as far as conspiracy theories go. So I think the problem is much deeper psychologically than merely hatred for a boxer.Impractical Poster wrote:Floyd hating to the extreme. So do that... Go to Vegas or open online accounts... Put the bundle on him if he's really a 500 to 1 favorite... If that were the case you couldn't miss.Covfefe wrote:Right what? But mma fans are convinced McGregor will win. They are betting on him. I think they're nuts

I don't have the kind of money that would make it worthwhile. Thats the point.Kalan wrote:So do that... Go to Vegas or open online accounts... the motherfukker can't pay his IRS debt - something is seriously wrong if he cant pay up - floyd fans are brainwashed to think he's above being a boneheaded idiot - Floyd has the mind of a teenager and he's spoiled rotten, overly generous, overly materialistic and flat out stupid. That's a recipe for disaster. All the discussion is about is if it's possible Floyd could have overextended and now has to bite the bullet and take the dive? Yes it's possible. And both of their words and actions last week support the theory. McGregor is carrying himself with way too much confidence for a novice boxer. And Floyd should be verbally shredding McGregor like he did Hatton and Oscar and other overmatched opponents. I smell a big fat fix. And the UFC and Vegas syndicates could be in on it or orchestrating it too. McGregor has all the qualities and marketability to become the next huge fight sport attraction. Beating Floyd would push him over the top. Floyd is in a position where he has to compromise. Would Floyd make the ultimate compromise for a sizable reward??? HELL YEAH. As Tyson said about Robyn Givens in his book: The mothereffer would fukk a rat for $
Re: is it possible Floyd had to throw the fight to get McGregor to sign?
I don't think McGregor's confidence has anything to do with possible fight fixing. McGregor has always been confident and especially now when he looks at Mayweather like Jose Aldo. He honestly does not care about Mayweather's 49-0 record. He looks at Mayweather as he is now, someone who would have stayed retired had this opportunity to make $100 million not been available.

How good is your credit??? ... Borrow against your house if the true odds are that far removed from the betting odds... My point is that even if you played in the NBA or NFL or were a wealthy investor with real estate holdings you wouldn't dump all your money on Floyd or even a major part of it... Conor is liable to hit Floyd on the chin and knock him stiff...even if the real odds are against it -- the odds were against Schmeling knocking Louis out.Covfefe wrote:I don't have the kind of money that would make it worthwhile. I think I wandered into crazy...
MacGregor is confident because he's trying to sell the fight, you numbskull, the tour has all been about selling PPV or did you not realise that? If Conor sat there meekly and told the crowd that he had very little chance of winning who would buy the fight?
It's showbiz, Floyd and Conor probably flew in together in a plane full of strippers, laughing about how much money they are going to make...

Mcgregor allegedly knocked out in sparring, I can't see him standing much of a chance against Mayweather

Yeah, because floyd is renowned for his quick wit and intellect, and 'losing' a fkin press conference obviously means a fix is in with the fightmontrealsuper wrote:And Floyd should be verbally shredding McGregor like he did Hatton and Oscar and other overmatched opponents.
You are beyond retarded.
Re: is it possible Floyd had to throw the fight to get McGregor to sign?
I was at the Manchester press conference for Hatton Mayweather, Mayweather couldn't verbally shred a verbally shredded pack of shreddies on the most verbally shredding day of his life. He's not quick enough.Counter-puncher wrote:Yeah, because floyd is renowned for his quick wit and intellect, and 'losing' a fkin press conference obviously means a fix is in with the fightmontrealsuper wrote:And Floyd should be verbally shredding McGregor like he did Hatton and Oscar and other overmatched opponents.

First and foremost, some basic etiquette, no amount of swearing or capital letters will every justify your position.
McGregor carrying confidence? Heavens above, that's new! Cause he's usually quite sheepish and introverted, right?
