September 16th

Post by Taansend »

Not that anyone should care but so far for me it's

A 10km race in the morning.

West Ham at West Brom at 10am (they caned us last year)

Then boxing :box: boxing :box: boxing :box:

Saunders v Monroe - My nan was a Pikey, Monroes uncle beat Hagler. The stars are aligned for a great fight between the challenger who hasn't stopped anyone since 2013 when he stopped a bloke who had been stopped 29 previous time and the champion who fights once a year nowadays.

Terry Flanagan v Felix Verdejo - Funnily enough I thought both of these two fighters looked better in their earlier careers than now. So I'm expecting a cracking bout.

Golovkin v Canelo - Oh yeah

And it's Mexican Independence Day :salut:

And my birthday :yay:

I want to find a Mexican bar to watch the last fight in.

But one I won't get shot in. The only times I hear about the local ones is after a murder.

Well the Flanagan fight is off but now I have Saunders and Smith to look forward to.

Not to mention Yarde and Dubois.

In the past I've gone on Yelp and asked for bars showing the fight. You usually get some decent responses.

Sounds a great little weekend. Looking forward to the boxing. If I'm home by then I'll be staying up for the GGG v Canelo bout. Actually missing the football for the first pre season in a long time.

Rangers mate. I've not missed watching us as we're total AIDS but I've missed the football in general. Especially the EPL. Think next season will be a good one then it's the WC :yay:

It's going to take time to get back up to speed. Another 2 or 3 years.

Yeah at least mate. We are light years behind Celtic just now unfortunately. Not sure if this new gaffer is the answer either but he deserves a chance and some patience.

I'm going to Vancouver that day. Will probably find a bar to give the fight a watch, being West coast it will be on around 7pm over there.

Enjoy your day Taansend.

I will be far more low key - have lunch, perhaps work out, grab a cocktail or two....then perhaps see them fight a few feet away from me!!

Possibly Buffalo Wild Wings if there isn't a UFC that night. Definitely at a few strip clubs. You should be able to find somewhere, but MMA is much more frequently shown than Boxing here.

I still haven't found anywhere to watch the big fight.

Show a f*cking exhibition between a dull, retired fighter & a loud mouth novice & every f*cking bar is showing it but a proper fight between two brilliant boxers & NUFFINK.

I'm even prepared to drive up to Tampa to see it but I can't find anywhere.

I'll be doing much the same. I'll be sitting in the lower tier so i'll have to be content with watching them from tens of feet away.

PM me if you know where to see Saunders v Monroe already, maybe I'll buy you your first cocktail...
