In an ambitious world title shot, unbeaten Japanese prospect, former OPBF 105-pound ruler Hiroto Kyoguchi (8-0, 6 KOs) claimed the IBF mini flyweight belt with a twelve round unanimous decision over Mexican world champion Jose Argumedo (20-4-1, 12 KOs) on Sunday night at the Ota-City General Gymnasium, Tokyo. The 23-year-old Kyoguchi knocked down Argumedo with a barrage of punches in round nine en route to his sensational win. Scores were 116-111, 116-111, 115-112.
