Re: The Slammer
I wrote the aforementioned article on Walker and Fearon.
David is currently getting the necessary help to get his life back on track. He's been through an awful lot in terms of addiction and family problems and he's fighting hard to make things right.
I found him an engaging and friendly gentleman and consider it an absolute honour to hear all about so many memorable battles.
A limited performer but Walker could've been someone with Sky's current hype machine.
Fingers crossed he pulls through.
Hope you enjoyed the story.

He got all the hype, and more, than any fighter needed. He was someone, but someone leagues below European level.Chris W 1982 wrote:I wrote the aforementioned article on Walker and Fearon.

Re: The Slammer
I will always remember the Karmazin fight. he stopped Walker 'nicely' as he knew he was well out of his league. We saw with Rask, Roman could have been so much more brutal.mickey1975 wrote:He got all the hype, and more, than any fighter needed. Boxing News on Thursday just gone. Chris W wrote a piece on him.
I hope he's avoiding that loon Terry Allen. He's enough to send anyone mad if you listen to his weird conspiracy theories.
