Alex and his son Greg promoted some cracking small hall shows in the 1980s and were instrumental in bringing Dennis Andries through to world level. I went to a few of the shows and they were always good nights. I believe that Alex injued his eyes in the war, something to do with flashes given off by shells.

He was from Leeds and kept in touch with Hunslet ABC throughout his life.

Greg is still promoting and managing now. Warrior promotions or something with Mark "Mo" Prior.
