Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
So Frampton misses weight and can't fight in the eliminator then the opponent has an accident a few hours later ?? Quite a day......

Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Must've been some slip, scar wide open on his chin, nose looks broken, chipped his teeth, looks as if he's been filled in
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Something smells fishy. With Frampton missing the weight so that it wasn't an eliminator, would that mean than Cyclone Promotions would be out of pocket because the TV was paying for an eliminator?
You could fight with a cut like that on the chin. I can't see a bust nose or broken teeth?

One of the most stupid posts I have read tbhCoco wrote:Something smells fishy. With Frampton missing the weight so that it wasn't an eliminator, would that mean than Cyclone Promotions would be out of pocket because the TV was paying for an eliminator?

I am sure he deliberately fecked himself up the night before a potential break out fight that he has worked so hard for just so he can help out his opponents promotional company who you think may suffer financially due to the other guy in Frampton screwing up. That makes total logical sense

He fell in the shower
this is his chin..

this is his chin..

Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Seen another picture on the42.ie and it does show dental damage. Don't think somebody would deliberately slice their chin and break their teeth to save face for somebody else. Shit happensCoco wrote:Something smells fishy. No shower mats in Belfast? I really think hotels need to re evaluate their policy.
Gutted as this looked like being a solid test for Frampton

Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Why is it that only boxers and the elderly seem to slip in the shower?
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
Hahaha. Yes in the old days everyone used to box with badly cut chins. To paraphrase Jim Watt 'The game has gone, Reg!'Coco wrote:Something smells fishy. Also boxing with a few broken teeth and mild concussion shouldn't be a hindrance. I mean it's not like he's worked all his life to get into the position to box a world title eliminator. Get the gloves on you soft c**t.

Its quite easy to slip in the shower while picking up the soap. Its the most common accident whilst in prison.

Anything is possible in Boxing but I have to admit this is a strange one.Coco wrote:Am I the only one who thinks something is amiss here?
The lad has obviously taken a tumble by the look of the photo thats doing the rounds but why pull the whole show? All those lads on the undercard miss out, the TV slot was already in place .
I'm no Boxing promoter but why not just roll with it....

Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
You don't think he went drinking down the Falls Road and someone thought he was English?
Looks like someone has done him over. Must have been sharp bath or sink taps to gash a chin like that.

Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
I guess he must have been in one of those bath showers rather than a proper shower as proper showers don't have taps! Damn sharp taps!forcefraser wrote:You don't think he went drinking down the Falls Road and someone thought he was English?

If he had been mistaken for English in the Falls Road, he would be in a position where he really couldn't fight.

I reckon it must have been bath/shower combo. It did his nose, teeth and chin.Coco wrote:I guess he must have been in one of those bath showers rather than a proper shower as proper showers don't have taps! I know Belfast is a tough gig, but showers/baths taking liberties is going a bit too far
Re: Carl Frampton v Andres Gutierrez
How frequently do boxers slip in the shower? It seems to happen more than it should...
I recall Danny Williams had a fight cancelled a few years ago for the same reason, admittedly Williams is at risk from a stiff breeze these days, but still...
