Mikey Garcia vs. Adrien Broner RBR

Post by marvelous marv »

Some very intriguing undercard fights that will not be televised tonight. Warren-Arroyo in an eliminator. Miller-Washington in a heavyweight matchup.

I will be there and can provide updates.

Who are you picking?
I think it's evenly matched. But I'm sticking with Washington

Miller, Washington is too featherfisted.

There is a Heavyweight fight on the card between two undefeated fighters. George Arias 7-0 vs Elder Hernandez 5-0 but I am not familiar with these fighters.

My take on Washington is that he took that title fight too soon in his career. I know he is an older fighter, coming to the sport late but he also has been in less ringwars. As a gym rat maybe one more year of experience would have served him well.

I've heard rumours earlier about George Arias, who is not the same George Arias that Hughie Fury fought.
I wasn't impressed by him, but people asked me about him earlier.
In my opinion George Arias is too small to become something serious.
I still really really like the fact he fought a 6-0 (with 6 KO's) and a 4-0 already before, despite he only has 7 fights experience (in a couple of hours 8) and is by far the favorit between these two for me. So despite I don't expect him to make it to the top 15, I still really like the guy as a boxing fan.

I can't remember Elder Hernandez, no clue who he is.

Iegor Plevako 4-0 may be another heavy name to keep and eye on. Hes like 6'5, very strong yet skilled Ukranian.

Garcia opened at -650 and is now -175. Largest line move
I've ever seen. Not sure why it opened so damn wide in the first place. -200 is about right to me.

Rumours Mikey Garcia has flu causing it - Broner has went from 3.8 to 2.8 on Betfair inside 2-3 hours.

All judges have it the same 40-35.

Jarmon is very skilled for someone with only a few fights. I think he is fighting under the AB banner.
