Crawford/Garcia situation
Crawford/Garcia situation
If mikey wins, is the chance more likly that Crawford vs Garcia happens or tc moving up?
Down the line both will end in the m$ney division 147, yet still tc/mg at 140 would be a blockbuster!

Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
The logical thing to do would be to wait until both guys have their next fights, instead of putting the cart before the horse, so to speak. If Garcia struggles or loses to Broner (which I predict and may regret it lol) Garcia won't want Crawford, assuming he wins.

Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
Crawford pretty much donevat 140 if he wins.
Would have all the belts.
AB not reliable person to stick around for at 140
147 is one of boxing golden divisions. Much bigger fights

Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
I'm skeptical of Arum and Garcia working together. Mikey just took off over two years to get away from TR, while it is a great fight it's not a money fight.
Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
Too bad that Arum is that way, but he will do everything in his power to keep Garcia away from Lomo at 135 and Crawford at 140. Both would be awesome fights.
Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
Garcia will move up. Bob wont do business, stupid & stubburn like he is.
Mikey said after the fight he willing to go to 147 if it make sense. We all know 147 $$$$$$ makes sense.
Watch, 147 will be in a couple of month better than it has ever been in the last 10 years. Spence.thurman.brook.crawford.danny.vargas.mikey.
Porter.pacquiao.

Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
147 is regularly a good division. Brook is done there though I think. Pacquaio is surely thinking of calling it a day too? If I was Garcia I wouldn't move up too many divisions too quick eitherJip wrote:Garcia will move up. Bob wont do business, stupid & stubburn like he is.

Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
And this is why the UFC > boxing. In the UFC you have to fight the next stud in line as champ. In boxing you can just swerve people. It's brutal.
Garcia vs Lomo and Crawford are THE fights at 140. All 3 should be fighting each other.
Crawford will be going to 147 after he kills Indongo. Maybe we can get Mikey vs Lomo at some point. Maybe.

It's not even close anymore, the UFC shits all over boxing. Way better cards and better fights because of it.diddy wrote:And this is why the UFC > boxing. In the UFC you have to fight the next stud in line as champ. In boxing you can just swerve people. It's brutal.

I understand the reasoning but I prefer boxing, and I choose it most times they go head to head. It is true that boxing has had many problems but this has been a great year and we still have five months to go.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:It's not even close anymore, the UFC shits all over boxing. Sure, I preferred Boxing until a few years ago. It's just irrefutable that they deliver a better product, obviously you can't tell someone what to prefer. I don't watch Soccer often, but the premiere league is obviously superior to the MLS and still I'm sure there are people that have season tickets to the MLS and prefer it.Tanzio wrote:I understand the reasoning but I prefer boxing, and I choose it most times they go head to head. The UFC last night was $60, translated into Boxing it would have looked like this and I'm not even counting the Cyborg fight because I honestly don't know a thing about Womans Boxing.
Ward vs Stevenson
Thurman vs Spence
Pac vs Brook
Kovalev vs Gvodzyk
Mares vs Diaz jr
Quigg vs Marrero
Catchweight Solis vs luna
I understand that the financial demands of Boxers and the time of the fights makes that beyond unrealistic, but that's more bang for my buck.
Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
Fair enough. I probably should have watched last night. My kids were texting the highlights. I used to watch more often. I just prefer boxing.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Sure, I preferred Boxing until a few years ago. It's just irrefutable that they deliver a better product, obviously you can't tell someone what to prefer. I don't think that your Premier / MLS analogy was accurate. I think that it is more like Premiere / NFL. I acknowledge the talent and skill level of soccer in the premiere league and I do watch it on occasion, but I prefer the NFL with all its warts.

Tough analogy to make.last night was amazing, with the exception of Woodley/Maia. That was terrible.

You mean Lomachenko, dude who's not fought north of 130?diddy wrote:And this is why the UFC > boxing. In the UFC you have to fight the next stud in line as champ. In boxing you can just swerve people. It's brutal.

Anyone told you you're a fornicating idiot lately?
Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
Anyone ever told you Lomachenko has been quoted as saying he is willing go up to 140 for super fights, idiot? Are you aware that Garcia fought his first 33 fights in the 120s and now fights at 140, idiot? Or that Pacquaio went up to light middleweight from strawweight? Great smaller fighters go up in weight, idiot. Get a clue, idiot.

Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
Why would Lomachenko and Garcia fight at 140 instead of 135 for Garcia's belt? I'm not going to call anyone an idiot, but that doesn't make a lick of sense. Loma/Garcia isn't a super fight, less money in that fight than there was for last night.
Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
I suppose they could fight at 135 but not sure Garcia is interested in going back down in weight again considering they're talking a move to 147. Garcia's camp would be wise in trying to bring Lomachenko as far up in weight as possible.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Why would Lomachenko and Garcia fight at 140 instead of 135 for Garcia's belt? I don't care about the money. I'm looking at from a meaningful fight fans perspective. That's the problem with this sport. Its always about politics and risk reward.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Why would Lomachenko and Garcia fight at 140 instead of 135 for Garcia's belt? Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
Huh? He would prefer a unification with Linares. That's the name I've heard out of his mouth. He was asked at 147 and he said for the right fight. Zero talk of a permanent move to 147, he'd go for $. With all the top fighters, there isn't a money guy there.diddy wrote:I suppose they could fight at 135 but not sure Garcia is interested in going back down in weight again considering they're talking a move to 147. I don't care about money either, doesn't mean I need to be delusional about it. I'd love to see that fight, we wont any time soon.diddy wrote:I don't care about the money. Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
After unifying, I can't see Crawford making weight much longer. Did anyone get the fight night weights for him against Diaz? They both were effing enormous. I can see Crawford moving up after the Indongo fight because he's likely to fail making weight coming up soon.
Re: Crawford/Garcia situation
If Crawford moves up next it will be Jesse Vargas I'll bet since he is TR. Maybe Pac after that.Jip wrote:Garcia will move up. Bob wont do business, stupid & stubburn like he is.
