Ivan Dychko is very tall and can box pretty well, but his stamina doesn't seem to be good and his chin is questinable too.

.
It 's way too early days to class Dubois as number 1. He's too stiff and lacking in head movement, whereas a guy like Teslenko has very good fluid movement

Dychko harshly gets called chinny for being knocked out by a monsterous puch from the hardest hitting super heavyweight Majidov. That was the only ever time he was knocked down! he's faced all the best heavweyight including Majidov other times and never been hurt, He actually has a good chin.

That's funny, I predicted Trey Lippe well over a year ago but only got laughed at at the time.

You should have been. Morison is fun to watch, but he needs A LOT of work. He seems to have some power, but I'd be surprised if he made it to a consensus top 10 list at HW. He hasn't even faced C- level opponents, so of course he will look good.

I wrote it when he had like 8 or 9 fights, but I can't find my post about it back. I can only find a post much much later of myself saying that I wrote it much earlier as well back then. People asked me why him, because he wasn't even in the top 250 back then, only because he is the son of? Such things they wrote. Nowadays everyone takes him more serious. Ah well, I also wrote about that friend of Parker, that black Polish guy that he could very well become a top contender, but after his loss against Breazeale I never heard anything of him ever again. I'd love to see a rematch.

After 31 posts can we agree that the heavyweight prospect pickings are pretty slim??
It was a good idea for this thread, but after all the responses and some homework on YouTube looking at people's suggestions, I'm rather dismayed and concerned that when some of the old fellas in the top 20 shuffle off to the Parkinson's Treatment Home there is a massive talent gap in the division.
AJ isn't going to earn his projected 100 mil or whatever by fighting bums, Wilder can tell him all about packing 5,000 fans in a school hall for a 200,000 payday.

Well, in my opinion the boxers should simply fight more often, not once or twice a year or even less if you want to become a mandatory like Stiverne or Hughie Fury nowadays.

Finally we can agree on something

Specifically novices need to fight more often. Very discouraged trying to follow careers of newbies who fight 2 or 3 times a year.
Or contenders who are only fighting 1 time a year.
By the time they get back in the ring they have ring rust.

I see the best with experience and a chance to give trouble and be World Champion by far is Sergey Kuzmin

* Adam Kownacki could be included, he is good (almost on average), but nothing more than that, he has many skills to be stoned. If he picks a good average opponent such as Andy Ruiz Jr (or a bit better one) he loses.

The ones I see that have big potential and we will know that they are really good (with at least 10 fights) are: Daniel Dubois, Tony Yoka, Andrey Afonin and (perhaps) Josh Sandland.

Another one to wait that can surprise a bit is Robert Alfonso.

Let's see where he's ranked when he meets a top Heavyweight... He's no Klitschko, Fury, or Povetkin... Not a lot of innate talent there to beat the best.

Nice post.
Thanks for mentioning Andy Ruiez.
I was waiting for someone to bring him up

If he fought Parker in Vegas the result would have been different.
Don't write him off because of that loss.
He is still young and has some natural gifts if only he could turn that 2 stone of blubber into muscle he would be mentioned a lot more

Good chin, decent work rate, plenty of heart and accurate punches with above (for HW) average hand speed. If only the fat as muscle.

Szpilka is a top heavy. Wasn't he beating Wilder before the KO, or at least very definitely holding his own against him? Don't know if you saw Kow-Szpilka but he impressed me a lot in that fight. He's not there to win a body building contest but he throws a crazy amount of very accurate and powerful punches from all angles.

Szpilka is reasonable competition, but not more then that. Wilder just ain't that impressive, there are just some people who think he is, mainly retards who also think it's very likely Wilder is going to fight Ortiz.

You're welcome.

He is a decent boxer in HW. Will win against some names soon. I analysed him vs Parker and I saw his win by 1 point. He is that kind of chubby HW with good movement (unlike Adam Kownacki).

Where have you dag these people up from and what makes them top prospects? They haven't done anything in pros and all have mediocre amateur credentials.
You clearly no nothing about about Heavyweight Prospects. anytime people have been talking about HW prospects in the last years or two Kuzmin and Teslenko's names have been mentioned a lot. Any knowledgeble boxing fan knows about them. Kuzmin was a top amateur he was about the 5th to 7th best heavyweight in the world before he turned pro.He was European Gold medalist ( 99% of the best mateur super heavyweights are from Europe!) Sirenko was a good amateur in the Youths.

I agree with that, he has the skills, power, chin, amateur pedigree. He'll be a top 5 heavyweight for sure.

He is somewhat slow and fat. I wouldn't call anyone in the top 50 a "totally unskilled bum" though.

He is very slow and somewhat fat. This thread is about "the best prospects". This is the context of the discussion. And from this context he is a total bum because he has absolutely zero chance at championship level.

No one has a zero chance in a championship fight because the champ's knee might "snap." Just sayn...

Do I think Adam can be a great champion and have multiple title defenses? Ok, that's a 0% chance unless he reads the 10,000 hour anyone can do anything book.
