Help Me With a Fighter....

Post by Taansend »

I'm trying to remember a British fighter from the late 80s early 90s. I think he was a Welter or one division up or down. He was a British Champion who had lost a few early fights. He was a white bloke & I think he was from Carlisle. Heavy handed, but not heavily skilled.

Chris someone?

Yeah, it wasn't either of them. I'm probably getting half a dozen boxers mixed up

He might have been from Bracknell. I just remember a crude, but powerful, fighter who upset a few favourites around Welter about 25/30 years ago..... :maybe:

It wasn't Scrap Iron. It was someone who was kind of a journeyman but got some decent wins late on.

Or maybe not

To be honest I think I might be merging Saunders, McCreesh & Shepherd into one person in my hazy memory
