I would mate.

I look at Camacho-Ramirez, and then I look at Whitaker-Ramirez, and Camacho seems clearly a notch above Whitaker relative to Ramirez.

Clearly (imo) quicker than Pernell is really, really fcking quick.

I think Camachos feet were actually quicker than Taylors, fwiw. Hands, margins imo.

Watched some of both of their fights tonite and I'd say Taylor. Camacho was a talent though and some of his early interviews were hilarious

Taylor had the faster hands and Hector the faster feet and mind. I also think Camacho was the better boxer, Meldrick just seemed to throw bunches of punches in bursts.

Camacho. In his early days he was throwing lightning quick combinations and single shots with actual conviction. I was never even particularly impressed with Taylor's brand of arm-punch flurrying. Rarely threw with full torque. I've always considered him quite overrated in the speed department.

I've always thought that Meldrick Taylor was the fastest flurrier I've seen, although Camacho is probably equally as quick in reality; but curiously, I thought Roy Jones Jr threw the quicker single shots than either.

About equal, though I might say Hector by a hair. Both were lucky to not have to fight a prime Howard Davis jr.

Hand speed isn't that high of the scale of fistic assets.. Anybody can throw rapid-fire combinations that have little power on them.. As Mikey Garcia showed over the weekend, timing beats speed.. Skill beats speed.. Balance, footwork, leverage, accuracy, and power get the job done.. Forget the flash and dash..

Both Camacho and Taylor limited their potential because of their emphasis on "showmanship." ... Just show up and get the job done... I will mention another boxer who tried too hard to be fast and flashy.. Amir Khan.. Don't throw too many "rapid fire" set combinations and change them up more.. You throw to the opening -- and not like a robot clicking off numbers.. Your opponent will clue into your rhythm and blast your lights out..

It's more important to learn how to slip, duck, roll, and counter than it is to throw eye-catching 10-punch combinations.. Floyd generally threw 1 or 2 punches and tired to make them connect.. You can keep combinations rolling, but "speed" is for the birds. Get them in there with leverage and force so he can't walk through them and rip you.
