Lucianio Abis v. Assan Vassilev

Post by wouter »

It says here that last night's fight was a DQ win for Abis. My Italian is'nt that good, but the way I understood it, it was a technical decision win for Abis in 4, after the fight was stopped when Abis was cut by an unintentional headbutt.

Also on the same card, the weights were announced with an accuracy of 0.5 kgs (roughly 1lb), it makes no sense translating that in quarters of pounds.

I watched that fight and the old adage is true 'to get a draw in Italy you have to knock the other guy out'

Yes, but was it a DQ win or a TD win?

I'm sure they said it was a TD but don't ask me to explain it

The danish commentator said it was a DQ for dirty fighting. He also said that 4 rounds have to be completed before they can go to the scorecards.

I'd say the Danish commentator would be right if the fight were a 12-rounder

speaking of this situation what are the rules in different countries in case of an accidental headbutt.
The danish rules are:
1: The fight is stopped in round 1 its a Tech draw
2: The fight is stopped after round 1 and the fighter who is cut cant continue he will lose by TKO.
