It sucks. My picks for AJ would be Wilder, Ortiz, Parker, Ruiz in that order.

I'd give Pulev 1%. AJ would need a severe injury, and no that injury would not be from Pulev.

Giving a HW boxer a 1% chance is folly. Even light punching HW can knock another HW out.Tony1244 wrote:Horse wrote:ValMar wrote:Pulev has less than 0,001 % chance to win..........

Pulev ability is pretty good but he does lack power and got it all wrong against Klitschko in 2014 (a different animal).
AJ should win, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.

When has a top 10 ranked boxer ever only had a 1% chance against another top 10 ranked boxer?Loki wrote:Giving a HW boxer a 1% chance is folly. Even light punching HW can knock another HW out.

It's ridiculous to write Pulev off as a no-hoper. He'd be Joshua's 2nd best win by some way compared to his 3rd best win.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Pulev won. It would be a very good, world class win for Joshua.
Re: AJ to fight PULEV next ? DECEMBER ? *
I'd be amazed if Pulev won, but I admit the 1% was an exaggeration. And I wouldn't bet the house on anything.

pulev is rubbish. in the scheme of things it's not a bad fight. he'll get crushed though.Horse wrote:When has a top 10 ranked boxer ever only had a 1% chance against another top 10 ranked boxer?Loki wrote:Giving a HW boxer a 1% chance is folly. Even light punching HW can knock another HW out.

Joshua might as well retire then.Riddick Blowe wrote:pulev is rubbish. in the scheme of things it's not a bad fight. he'll get crushed though.
There's nothing for him to do.

Explain the way for Pulev's victory, please. How ?? Jab, jab, jab....against Joshua ...Clinching ? Long distance ? Trading punches ?.....No way, believe me, and I have a respect for Pulev....He ought to be happy with UD loss....Loki wrote:Giving a HW boxer a 1% chance is folly. Quite simple - he could outbox him. If Joshua comes in at 255lbs with piles of muscles, he WILL get tired.ValMar wrote:Explain the way for Pulev's victory, please. How ?? I fully expect AJ to KO Pulev, but it isn't a certainty. Forget Pulevs performance against Klitschko, that was foolish and the 2014 version of Klitschko is a lot better than AJ in 2017.
I just don't think Pulev has enough power to keep AJ honest and gunshy.
Re: AJ to fight PULEV next ? DECEMBER ? *
Pulev is among top ten HWs nowadays, doubtless, he is capable to beat Parker, even Wilder, but against Joshua he can not do anything. Maybe he can win two or three rounds, and that is all. Joshua's punch power is on the same level as Klitschko's, and Pulev will not be able to avoid punches 12 rounds....And Pulev himself is not a powerful puncher, and his chin is no more than average. I hope he will be paid properly, and be retired as a wealthy gentleman.Loki wrote:Quite simple - he could outbox him. Re: AJ to fight PULEV next ? DECEMBER ? *
I reckon AJ wants Wilder, or if Ortiz wins he'll want Ortiz, he wants Parker too, or Hughie if he wins. He most definitely wants Tyson, so it's bad for him too. They're all tied up and the IBF will strip him if he doesn't fight Pulev who is a top 10 heavy, that is capable of frustrating AJ.
Maybe I'm in the minority but I want to see him face Pulev because it's another's learning curve, and for all we know AJ is a couple years away from his prime, if Eddie can get this done with a good undercard, no complaints from me.
And I hope Eddie satisfies my undercard needs, none of this Quigg v Cayetano sh!t, I'm talking Yafai against his mandatory, Whyte vs Big Baby, Buglioni vs Johnson....that is PPV right there.

I like some guys optimism here, but Joshua will be stopping pulev, I'm sure of it.
Also Wlad 2014 to Wlad 2017, virtually no difference. Vitali said wlads level vs Joshua was career best.

Re: AJ to fight PULEV next ? DECEMBER ? *
IMO Wlad was less accurate and couldn't pull the trigger as quickly in his last years...natural things which start to happen when you're that old.
By the way, is this what we're in for now with AJ? People being called too optimistic just for suggesting that a win isn't guaranteed for him?

Re: AJ to fight PULEV next ? DECEMBER ? *
It's a match up I'm confident predicting crusader, if this isn't Joshua by stoppage I'd be surprised. It's no offence intended to those that think otherwise, in my view they are being optimistic.crusader wrote:IMO Wlad was less accurate and couldn't pull the trigger as quickly in his last years...natural things which start to happen when you're that old.

I don't share the opinion re Wlad and pulling the trigger etc
Re: AJ to fight PULEV next ? DECEMBER ? *
Has anyone in here said that they don't think AJ will win? How many here are going for Pulev? I wouldn't say that there's much optimism at all in terms of him pulling it off, and far more evident is the perception that KP is overmatched. I think that will prove to be the case, although there is a difference between actually winning a bout and being gifted wins without stepping in the ring.
I've noticed Wlad fading for a few years. He got hit far more than usual against Pulev, failed to land anything meaningful against Jennings, and then of course was easily outboxed in a listless showing against Fury. Given that trajectory, along with his age and inactivity, I was surprised that he managed to put the much younger AJ through hell like that.
