Can someone who follows such things enlighten me on the young man's ability?

I read sometime ago that he was brilliant and a better prospect than Amir but the only things I've read since are about him being beaten.

He's been beaten at least a couple of times recently (nothing wrong with that, of course) but they always seem to cry robbery:

I'm only going on one Tele interview, but didn't the Khan's amateur trainer say that the younger Khan had the more talent, but not the work ethic in training than Amir.

he sounds a good prospect.

he's fought at good levels as a junior amateur, so he's obviously one of the better young fighters in the country at present.

one to look out i think it's fair to say.

Yeah that was Mick Jelley.He said hes better then Amir was at that age,but Haroon dont like getting up in the morning. A few people ive spoke to said they've seen Haroon fight and they said he wasnt all that.

People often say the younger brother of a sports wonderkid is an even better prospect. I remeber being told Johna Lomu's younger brother was going to be even better, never heard of him since. I'm sure we'll be hearing the same about Rooney's young brother soon.

he boxed in a Danish Boxcup a few years ago that i attended

I think your right on that one, I was actually refurring to his other brother who i think has been picked up by Everton (unsurprisingly) at a very young age.

I think your right on that one, I was actually refurring to his other brother who i think has been picked up by Everton (unsurprisingly) at a very young age.

...and bundled along to Utd as part of the Wayne R deal I believe...

Hamed's brother Ali had massive talent as does Chris Eubank Jnr. Chris Senior was a younger brother as well remember of twins Simon and Peter.

Chris Jnr bashes up Tony Oakey in the gym.

Don't get me wrong Boxingchat, I'm not saying the younger brother can't outshine his older sibling. Just look at Randy Turpin youngest of three boxing brothers. I just meant that younger brothers are sometimes over hyped. Haroon may well be better than his brother for I'll I know.

As this thread seems to have gone on to famous families. It was in the paper about a week back that Rooney's younger brother is debating about a boxing or a football career. They claimed he beat Amir Khan a few years ago, and is younger than the Olympic Silver Medalist.

On a side note, he is even uglier than Wayne, but Wayne's missus cousin "fancies" him. Yeah right, its not the tidy pay packet he's likely to bring.

I remember a few years ago Matthew Hatton was being touted as even better than Ricky and one to look out for.
