Christ. Not long ago Bellew was struggling at CW at Euro level against Masternak.
One huge punch and a broken Achilles and he's got options worth millions.
IMO he HAS to take the option with the biggest monetary prize as I can't see him beating any of the top dogs at HW/CW.
Credit to him. He's overachieved. Skillwise I've always placed him between World/Euro level. He's become a multi-millionaire world champion.

Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
His only possible big money option is a Haye rematch and that's very doubtful. At heavyweight he'd stand no chance against anybody half decent and I'm not even sure that the gullible British public are daft enough to buy into the supposed beef between he and Haye twice.PredatorHayds wrote:Christ. Nobody thinks he's world class at CW not least he himself hence his complete reluctance to fight anyone serious. He's a Euro level plodder at best.
As you say credit to him for making a sh1tload of money even though basically he's only been able to earn it because he got under Haye's skin with his annoying act. If Bellew wants to walk around in a deluded fog telling anyone who'll listen that a victory over an unknown African and a crippled, shot ex champ means he's world class now that's his prerogative. The annoying thing for me is the Sky muppets virtually fawning over him when he's on with them and the way that T shirt maker, Boxercise level trainer Coldwell is afforded a respect way beyond what he deserves.
Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
Bellew wants to retire or get a lot of money for the rematch.
Will make 10 times the money vs haye than anyone at cruiser if they can get on ppv again.
GL to them.

Fact is Bellew has other options he's in a great position he may as well do what ever he wants to.
Bellew is asking something very fair, Daffy Duck once again only seems to accept if he receives all kind of unfair advantages, that's also why he ducked Shannon Briggs for example, despite all his promises.
Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
I honestly don't think Bellew wants it. He slated Haye all thru the build up for being a diva etc with demands, then he's straight back him with them? You can understand it on one hand that it's a taste of Hayes own medicine, but to me it shows Bellew is the king of hypocrites. For a guy that preaches he speaks the truth, he speaks massive shite.cocobongo wrote:From what I understand Bellew has said he will except the rematch as long as its the same terms as the first fight but reversed, which is fair enough he is deffo the A side now, I dont think Haye is agreeable to this.

He doesn't want it, he has his fortuitous win over an incapacitated opponent. He has something to lose now.

Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
His timing was out because of the injury which was clearly there before the first bell rang,he just thought he would walk in there blow bellend out in 1 round and walk away with a multi million pound pay day. I wont be watching the 2nd fight if it happens in fact i dont think i will ever watch david haye again,as a fan of the sport we dont need fighters like him in it turning it into a freak show. Sail off into rhe sunset haye on your mates boat in miami.sweetscience wrote:Haye is done

Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
I'd like to see the rematch, if haye doesn't get injured again I'd think he'd win as he was in previous fight
Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
Just imagine this scenario:
Hughie will beat Parker.
Hughies first defence will be Haye - Haye will win (they were on Talksport this morning bigging Haye up rather than slagging him off as usual)
Haye will then fight Boomer in their rematch
Something spurious will happen, Boomer will win and become heavyweight champion of the world
Boomer will then fight his mate Smigga (by this point Smigga will be at least 16 stone) and take a dive
Smigga will become world champion at last
Smigga will re-join Boxrec

Eddie says deal is dead. http://www.BS.com/hearn-bellew ... al--119127
I think Haye needs Bellew more then the other way around. Simply because Bellew is the easiest fight Haye can have with this large amount of pay. If Haye fights Hughie he will loose and will get 10th the money. Whereas Bellew can choose to fight Wilder and get payed handsomely if not the same as Haye rematch. Haye should stop playing diva, sign contract, KO Bellew and push for AJ.

I said it ages ago, Daffy Duck would never dare to fight this cruiserweight again. This cruiserweight is simply way way way above Daffy Duck his level, like most real heavyweight boxers.Ossyrules wrote:You've told nobody nothing. Wait until Parker Hughie is over. Fight the winner. Makes sense for all concerned given:
It's the easiest way for Haye to get a world title.
It's the biggest name on Parker's record and a winnable big money fight for a guy who doesn't do too much ticket-wise, and crucial exposure outside NZ.
Hughie sells no tickets at all and Haye sells out the O2 against garbage.
Whoever emerges from that lot is a legit opponent for a Joshua mega-money stadium fight. Maybe a long shot but Haye defending the WBO title against Joshua for unification is another Wembley Stadium job.

Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
I dont think that half broken, over the hill Haye has a good chance against Parker/Hughie. Why would he fight those when he can have a lot easier fight against Bellew for lot more money.dirk2686 wrote:Haye has an obvious route at the minute:Tarkus wrote:Eddie says deal is dead. http://www.BS.com/hearn-bellew ... al--119127

Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
Hughie hasn't fought anyone even approaching the ability a half broken, over the hill Haye has. That Haye was still wiping out the likes of De Mori and it's not like Hughie has been fighting at a level that much higher.Tarkus wrote:I dont think that half broken, over the hill Haye has a good chance against Parker/Hughie. Not sure he makes that much money against Bellew. Parker is a heavyweight title fight, Haye has always shifted loads of tickets, and if he wins he'll fight Joshua and make 10m+.

Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
Hughie fight assumes that he beats Parker first. And if he beats Parker then he is a real deal and LOT harder opponent then Bellew, not to mention DiMori. Knowing Haye I am pretty sure he wont risk fighting Parker/Fury winner. Especially if he has Bellew option.dirk2686 wrote:Hughie hasn't fought anyone even approaching the ability a half broken, over the hill Haye has. Re: Bellew v Haye 2?
If Hughie beats Parker then people will take note but Parker is a guy who massively struggled with Ruiz and failed to put away a comparative novice who was booked up a few days beforehand. There's every chance Parker is bang average at a step up as well.Tarkus wrote:Hughie fight assumes that he beats Parker first.
