Naseem guilty over crash

Former world boxing champion Naseem Hamed has pleaded guilty at Sheffield Crown Court to dangerous driving following a crash involving his £300,000 sports car.

The 31-year-old ex-featherweight champ, of Sheffield, faces a jail sentence, he was warned by the judge.

The case follows a crash on Ringinglow Road, on the outskirts of Sheffield, involving the boxer's Mercedes McClaren sports car and two other vehicles.

One man was seriously injured.

Naseem was granted bail.

Now that it's been proven that he's guilty, the courts need to make an example of him like they did for Jermain Pennant. Send the tw*t to jail!

They sometimes say that to put the frighteners up people, he might still get away with not being banged up. In reality forget who he is, if any of us had done it we'd be getting the full 2 years.

It would be far more productive giving him a BIG community service charge...

like 1000 hours, so he has to get up and go train kids everyday for a year or something like that....he has his own gym.

This would have a much more positive effect on society... kids still look up to him and it could inspire them.

He should get what ever the law prescribes someone in his situation. No more, no less. His fame, money or otherwise, should not come into it.

but i just think the judge could use Naz in a more productive manner than just having him sitting in his arse in jail for 3 months or whatever, at tax payers expense

He should go down and have to support the family and the victim until he is well again. Flash little twat needs taking down a peg or two. he can no longer get away with the 'oh he's just a kid' line. He is a grown man with a wife and kids he deserves to get the full weight of the law on his head.

He showed complete arrogance by running away and leaving an injured man in a bad way and then tried to cover his tracks.

See how far his money get's him in the big house. Still at least he will look good springing on to the top bunk!

there's no point in sending him to jail. he's not a real menace or threat to societ and jail would be a waste of time for him. because of his celebrity status special provisions would have to be made for him and it really wouldn't serve much prupose for society.

I agree that he should have to do a lot of community service, and i also agree that he should have to [ay the victim a lot of money in damages but no, not jail

It's this type of liberal bullshit that has got society into the cesspool it is today.

Driving at 90mph on the fecking wrong side of the road and nearly killing some poor innocent sod makes him a menace to society if you ask me.

Yes, jail WOULD be a waste of time for him. Good. He probably won't waste as much time as the victims have in recovering and sleepless nights in and out of hospital.

When can the courts hand out a restriction of liberty order? a nice lengthy order, maximum community service, large expenses to victim and banned from driving for 10 years should sort him out.
